| Anybody know anything about this? I have a short machete type knife that has USMC stamped on the blade. The blade is one quarter inch thick and 11 and one half long, plus a 5 and one half inch handle. Also stamped on the blade below the USMC is Chatillon, N.Y. Any information or history or value would be appreciated. |
| You have what is commonly called a WWII USMC Corpmans Knife. The original desgin was for it to be used to amputate badly danaged limbs on the battlefield, but in general use 99% of them were used for general hacking in the jungles. In good shape with the sheath they go for $120-175. |
