Last week I ordered a sight and decided to pay the extra for express mail so I could get it by the beginning of this long weekend.  My plan was to have it and the rifle getting the sight off the gun the T1 was going on zeroed.  Well it was my mistake to not check the companies shipping policy, they ship within 48 hours, so the sight gets shipped on Friday, vice the same day.  Not a problem, USPS says that Express would get there by 3 O'clock on 2nd day and they even claim the will deliver on the weekend and Holidays.  Well guess not in this case, it has been sitting at their unit since Saturday, no attempts to deliver yesterday or today and it looks like they won't try till tomorrow.

So I ended up wasting the extra 20 something dollars to get it last week.

I think the biggest problem is the delay at the shipper

When you look at the USPS website, it even says/still says no extra charge for weekend delivery.

Yep...snail mail sucks.

I sent a guy a postal m.o. priority to Chattanooga for some Pmags. Now, from here, this isn't but a 2-2.5 hr drive. It took over a week to get there.

I get ripped off every time i send certified mail, and pay extra for "restricted delivery."  I put my own red restricted stamp all over it, and the local PO puts theirs on it too.  Somehow the moron that carries the mail seems to always let anyone including the family dog sign for it, instead of the person its addressed to.  Costs like ten bucks and they will only refund the restricted fee, like 4-5 bucks.....even thought they fucked it up and i have to send it again....AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!  Bastards.

Weird, I've been using USPS to send lowers out. I've used them three times since the beginning of the year, and never had any hiccups. In fact, my packages all arrived at their destinations sooner than I expected, every time.
