With all the 1911 vs. Glock threads I've been seeing lately, one name I don't hear enough of is H & K. I know there seems to be some kind of stigma in the gun community regarding HK as some kind of snob company who deosn't care about American civilian gun markets. But I have a USP and that is the only pistol I have and I love it. I just just wondering how many other HK owners are here and what YOU think of them..... please chime in ! |

I like my USPf 45 a great deal. That said, the customer service from HK was much better when I was .mil. I don't CCW my full size .45 and I don't see it possible. It is a big gun, but mine is not a compact, so I have 12 rounders for it. That being said, it does everything it is supposed to do in spades. If I were going to CCW, it would probably be a 9 mm. I haven't haid any issues with mine, but the couple questions I had customer service was pretty courteous. |

I have a USP Compact .45. It's too big, clunky, complicated, and holds a whopping 8 rounds. Build quality is excellent, however. I carry a Glock 19 instead. Ditto, 100%. The gun is awesome, it shoots great, nice and smooth, but I carry a G26. I do still love my usp .45 compact, but wouldn't hesitate for a second if someone wanted to trade me for either a full size USP .45 (or 9mm) or a 1911. |

Agree completely, I carry mine which is interesting sometimes but it is the best pistol I own. I bought an extra as a spare. These things are dead nuts reliable and accurate.
I love my USP .45 Most accurate and reliable gun I own. If i need something smaller I carry an FNP-9, controls work exactly the same only a smaller package. My G19 sits alone and unused in the safe. http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee82/kaizerandkitty/DSC00182.jpg Nice Pistol ! |

I have a full size USP 45... and I absolutely LOVE it.
I also have two 1911s... and I LOVE them as well. To spite the fact that I am not a particularly big guy (5'6", 160-170lb)...my USP is my usual carry weapon. I carry it in a small of the back position, with 12 in the magazine and 1 in the chamber... and two more 12 round magazines on my hip. When it is cooler out, and I can wear heavier clothes... I carry it in a FBI cant holster, over my right rear pants pocket. The H&K is, by a narrow margin, my favorite handgun in my collection to shoot. (Before I purchased the 1911s, the USP was my favorite by a LOOOONG shoot). |

I LOVE my HK's.
IMO I love my HK45 so much, Its my personal favorite .45 ever. The finest pistol I own IMO, are my P7 M8's. I am a huge fan of the 1911, I love the trigger, the grip, the accuracy, the feel the look, but for some reason, I still think my HK's, No matter P7 series, USP, P2000 series are just a hint above the 1911 |

My USP 45 is scary accurate (for me,anyways!). I love the pistol. It is big and clunky, but it's so soft-shooting that I can forgive that. For those that rave about the expense,I bought mine off gunbroker for 545.00 shipped. It was made in 2006 and looks brand new. I've only been able to get 10 round mags so far,so that could be an issue but overall I'm a huge fan |

I love my USPf .40. I've had it for years now and plan on having it forever. Actually, I'm on the fence right now about getting a Glock 19 or a UPSc in 9mm. Obviously, my wallet screaming Glock, but man, I really want that HK! BUY THE P30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or P30L!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

My .45c works fine for me. |

I got a friggin sweet deal!!!!!! I think it was $1100 shiped froma member here, Been offered a lot MORE THAN THAT FOR IT! No warning on trigger guard, Chantilly VA inport, A+++++ Finish, bore, and function, Included NS. I see them going for around $1800 on HKPro when they pop up |
| I had a USP 45, I loved it. But I gave it to my buddy who is over in the sand box right now. It was one of the very few guns he was allowed to carry with his unit, so I told him that I'd rather him use it then not have one at all. But he said he'll give it back when he gets home. But I love them, I'll get another one some day. |

I retired my Sig P220 in favor of a HK USP 40 Tactical for on duty use. I still use a Sig P239 for off duty however I plan on purchasing a USP 40 Compact soon for OD use.
My HK USP 40 Tactical is also hands down more accurate than my Sig. Although I still love my Sigs. |

I am a Ex USP owner not in a negative way. I had a full size .45 USP. It was a good gun I ran a couple thousand rounds with it shooting local IPSC leagues.
It actually ran it till the slide started cycling slower a couple times then decided to clean it. Never had any misfeads or anything like that.
I ended up switching to a Glock 35. I shoot this gun a little quicker in ISPC. The only thing I did not like about it was that the mags were not very tough. Which is no big deal if you just shoot it at the range. But if you drop them like when you are shooting ISPC they split at the weld fairly easily. Not sure if they have changed the design. My friend dubbed it the HK: Hostage Killer from IPSC leagues. I pulled my shots habitually to the left. Seems like the hostages were always on the left side of the bad guys. DAMN THEM, DAMN THEM TO HELL!!! |

Safety control is also the decocker, field stripping is easy, different but intuitive (IMO) mag release. Unless you mean mechanically, which I wouldn't know much about - I'd be afraid to do more than a field strip. |

I have a USPc and would say that its probably the best fitting handgun I have ever owned.
It fits my hand like a tailored glove...by far my favorite grip and ergonomics....and i think I have owned just about every shape, style, & make that is commercially available. Excellent gun, well engineered...would recommend it is a primary gun for anyone. |
