Hello again folks.

Here is my Polish Mosin Nagant carbine.  I bought the rifle brand new and in the grease. It is in marvellous condition.

I just thought I would explain what I plan to do with this rifle.  I plan to keep it clean and lightly lubricated always.

And here is what I will not do:

1.  I will never try to blow the rifle up.  Not with overloads, C4 or dynamite.

2.  I will never apply schmoe-kote or any other disgusting paint to this rifle.  I will leave the blueing alone.

3   I will not install a plastic stock.  I know that a stock made of recycled toothbrush handles appeals to some people.  But not to me.  The original stock will stay.

4.  I will not drill and tap the receiver for a scope.  I have other scoped rifles.

5.   I will not glue rails to this rifle.  And I will not install a $29.95 red dot sight to this rifle.  I know red dot sights look cool; however, I don't care.  I'm an old codger.

6.   I will not install a flash suppressor because the muzzle flash from this piece is part of its charm.

7.   I will only shoot my own gentle handloads through this piece––44 grains of IMR 4064 with the 150 grain .311" Sierra bullet.

8.   Finally, here in northern Alberta the term "Tapco" is used as a curse, as follows:  "It is a cheaply made tapco piece of clinton"

That is all.

Fluffy.

P.S. Don't be a schmoe.

I have a '46 carbine that got to me in new/unfired condition.  Hell, the stock was unfinished.  It's like they slapped it together, dunked it in cosmoline and stored it.   Fitty buck, too.

Although I don't consider the Mosin Nagant to be a 'Cold War' rifle.  SKS and AK-47, 74, etc, yeah.

Where did you get a new in grease rifle? I'm from Alberta also.

I notice you didn't say anything about boiling it in water...

I also forgot to mention that also I will not try to dissolve the rifle in acid, nor will I try to bury it under a pile of manure.  I just plan on shooting it and carefully cleaning it.

And I will not boil it either.

I bought the piece from P&S Militaria in Quebec.  It was the only one that he had.  Apparently some collector had it stashed away since the mid 1980s.

I owned another Polish Model 44 carbine back in 1984.  I bought it from Century International Firearms in Montreal––back in those days they had an office in Montreal.   Back then my 44 carbine cost around 60 bucks.

Anyway, I'm glad I have another one.

Say what you want about them, the Commies damned sure fielded some effective, long lasting battle gear. I have a 91/30 dated 1936 that actually has good workmanship and shoots like a dream.

I found a bunch of boxer primed brass at the last gunshow.  And more reloadable brass is available through Trade Ex Canada.

There's a reason you were able to find one of those in "new" condition.
Nobody gives a shit about your stupid, useless 60 year old pierogi rifle that you can't find ammunition for because it was such an abortion that nobody every really adopted it because they realized, unlike you, that it was a massive piece of crap.
See, what you need to ditch that abomination and get yourself one of these bad machines:

Than you can buy one of these and be cool, like me:

And than, you can ditch that 210 and really crank up the heat with one of these:

BOO-YEAH!  First Hi-point every imported into Canada.  I'm the only guy
that can say that, and trust me, I tell EVERYONE who will listen.

Beautiful. I love those Polish M44s.

You really can't do #5 anyway... well, you can do it, and then you can do it again (and again...) when the recoil from 7.62x54R breaks the ever loving shit out of the cheap dot scope.

You shouldn't shoot it as designed then...

I have a '54 of the unissued Polish batch.  They were imported by Intrac, and sold for about $159 around here.

They are indeed the finest M44s ever made, but if you shoot it with the bayonet extended (as was the procedure), you will erode the finish off the bayonet quite quickly.

I keep inviting you to go shooting together.  As I said earlier, you can shoot anything in our collection.

And bring the Hi Point.  We could use it as a target.

And you will see what real accuracy from a pistol is all about.  A SIG P210 will shoot a one inch group from a rest at 50 meters.   And a Finnish Lahti L-35 will shoot even better than that.

Anyway on a daily basis I plan on posting pictures of unmolested classics.  And finally Mr. TargetTarget,  I fear that the day will come when the international AR15.com tribunal will put you on trial just like that guy in Bosnia.
