Put an Aimpoint on my 16" middy and noticed that when shooting with both eyes open I get two distinct groups, one is centered on the bull but a second group emerges about 8-10 inches directly above the bull. Both groups are about the same size overall but I get some strange looking targets.
When I use my dominant right eye there is only one group, centered in the bull. Obviously my left eye is controlling when I pull the trigger for the second group but is there any way that I can fix this? Back in H.S. I did rupture my eye in a wrestling match and while it did eventually heal I now suspect that it is skewed slightly in relation to the other. Anyone had to deal with this type of thing in their shooting? Thanks |

If your optics cowitness, look through the small rear aperature and try again. You mean keep both eyes open and use the iron sights as well as the red dot? I have never had this issue with iron sights only but I was also closing the left eye. I will try it on Tuesday and see what happens, it sounds crazy but may give me another data point. |
