I talked with the VA about my GI Bill Benefit and they do not see my Active Duty DD214 and only see my 10 month deployment to Iraq in 2010 and they are not giving me 100% just 50% for the GI Bill.  It should be more for that time period according to the website.

I have 8 years Active Duty and I did pay the $100 a month for twelve months for the GI Bill and I have been waiting since June for the processor to look at my file say hey he has 8 years Active Duty he has 100% post 9-11 GI Beneit.

My school starts again Sept 6 and if I do not pay them the money I will be dis enrolled in school but I have taxes due the same month and I was wondering should I just put it on a Credit Card and the VA will issue me a refund to the prior semester or do they say f-u you paid so I do not have to repay you.

Thanks

It is hiloarious in a sick way I guess,  I am 50% disabled Vet and the non GI Bill system see my Actice Duty Time.  I was told that the GI Bill system is a totally different system that what the VA uses for everything else.

This doesn't really make sense, sounds like your 214 has some errors in it.  IIRC, you only need 90 days service to qualify for the post 9/11.  If you're trying to do the MGIB, your LES should indicate that you paid into it.

This happened to me.  I had to send in another vonapp dd214 so they knew what i was talking about. I also had to elect to change from montgomery to post 9/11 which was a bit strange.

The above post about post 9/11 gi bill is not quite right. As OP found out, post 9/11 benefits are based on time served.  VA sees he has less than 24months, and are prorating the benefit, because they don't have his other AD time noted.  He probably has more than 1 dd214, if not a dd215 as well.  I know i do.

OP- why not call the case worker on your eligibility letter?

Just out of curiousity, was your active service before or after September 10th, 2001?
