My Wife's Uncle is headed down to VT this weekend. It is to help one of the parents (a close friend) pick up their child's belongings from the dorm room. Their child was one of the 32. Even though the parents have been at VT since Monday, the press has been around their place (several states away). My Dad (a Prof. at VT) and my wife's longtime friends (residents of B'burg) all say the same thing...it is time for the media to leave. They cause more pain now and prevent people from getting on with their lives. VT is going to confer degrees on all the ones killed (I hope it is just to the students killed, not the shooter) in about 3 weeks. Rumor has it that the Media plans on staying in Blacksburg until after the graduation. AFARR |
