Do you think the main character could look any gayer??

I will not see this movie just because of that.

I can't wait to see it (disappointed when 11/05/05 rolled around w/out a release).

I just hope Hollyweird doesn't put some "Liberal/Socialism/Communism is a good thing" twist to it....

Does anybody think Hollyweird will put an anti-gun spin on this?

Kinda like the last line of Chief Gordon in Batman Begins.....

I'm thinking he uses knives because the .gov "outlaws" firearms......

I don't know much about the comic though, so there could be a different reason.  Hopefully, in the movie, V will help overthrow the .gov and get arms back in the hands of the people.

I said "kinda,"  I mean you have to admit the line was not necessary.

I thought it made perfect sense.  It explains why batman is always fighting super-criminals, instead of just your average "DOG the bounty hunter" type scum (though batman does whoop on his fair share of those guys too).  It was just to explain that since Batman brought it to a whole new level, the criminals would respond in kind.  Escalation.  Made perfect sense to me.

Uh-NO.

V for Vendetta is based in very Libertarian themes and advocates the violent overthrow of repressive governments. Besides the daggers, V also uses a Beretta 92FS and large quantities of explosives.

Anyone else notice the omage to The Matrix when V gets off the elevator and only the toes of his boots and flowing black coat are shown?

When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was a remake of 1984.  I'm not familiar with the story, but is it a similar theme?
