So I bought a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee back in 2008. I currently have the car titled in georgia where it is listed as clear and that the milage is accurate
I tried to trade the jeep in today, and the carfax report comes back that the car title is branded with exceeds mechanical limitations of odometer. This is reported in the South Carolina dmv record where the car was registered when I bought it back in 2008 but the mileage was also reported on the entry as 46,000 which is what the mileage was. Needless to say, dealer dropped 3,000 off of trade in value because of this. So am I screwed on this? I have a clean georgia title( where it is registered now) in hand and I don't remeber any branding on my original sc title like carfax clams. |

That is a lot of Fing miles. that would north of a million in a 2005 Cherokee Odometer. Yeah that is a Carfax Error. PS If you can not sell it, try getting that thing in a Jeep Commercial. |
| tell the dealer to drink piss. If one of the idiots at the sc dmv messes up and clicks the "excess of mechanical limits" box on the title its screwed up forever. No-one in sc takes that seriously on a late model vehicle. Find another dealer to sell to because you won't get anywhere with the sc dmv on this one. Been there, done that |
