I need to know how to derive the velocity distribution:
V(r) = [w Ri (Ro - r )] / (Ro - Ri)
from the continuity equation
V . U = 0

Engineering homework, I assume.
Google "velocity distribution continuity equation". First link goes a long way toward understanding how to do the problem. Surely it's in your textbook, and probably in the same variables and constants as your problem.

Here is a helpful hint.
It would be the same as a shaft rotating in a bearing hole.
