I have to admit that home video games have come a long way since 1988 when I played my last video game.  I was in college in the late 1980s and after getting totally immersed into Zelda I realized that it was either the video games or my grades.  So I gave away the NES system and concentrated on school and work.  Twenty something years, wife and 5-year son later I bought a Wii.  My wife asked for a Wii so that she could do the Wii fit stuff.

So what zombie shooting games are fun to play.  I think there is a Wii pistol looking thing to get for shooting games.

You chose poorly.

I've yet to play a Wii shooting game that didn't suck ass.

Overall, the Wii has 2,456,443,556 titles and about 5 that are worth playing.

Xbox 360 or PS3 if you want to game, my friend.

I agree...

PS3 is a Tier 1 platform

XBOX 360 Tier 2

WII Tier 3

Wiii has lots of good titles. I don't play shooters on it though because I have a good pc, and console shooters are pants on head retarded.

I regret getting my Xbox, though, especially now that PS3 finally has some games... and next to nothing worth having for Xbox is coming out for the foreseeable future.

Except maybe Gears 3..Crackdown 2 just came out...Modern Warfare Black Ops...shit there is a ton of shooters coming out in the next 3-6 months. PS3 has some great titles as well.

Wii sucks for shooters

in most cases, yes ps3 and 360 are better for shooters/adult stuff.

But Resident Evil 4 wii edition is pretty awesome.  Dont get a gun just use the regular wand, but it's a really good game, and the best adult zombie  shooter/adventure for wii.

Wii is a good system for family to play together, for younger kids, and for parties and such.

But for more serious gaming and titles more geared towards adults I would agree with other that PS3/360 are the way to go.

Next to TV and listening to talk radio entertainers, video games are a waste of time.

Now that you bought your wife and son a console go get yourself a PS3.

COD and Battlefield.

Nazi Zombies on COD is awesome.

I have all 3. 360 for gaming, PS3 for movies, and Wii for the wife. Besides, most games nowadays are multi-platform.

Get off your butt and download a shed ton of classic SNES games for your Wii. You've got a ton of gaming history to discover.

This.

Generally speaking, the Wii is intended for kids and people who groups of friends over to play Rock Band or whatever.  In terms of games you play by yourself or against others online, the PS3 and XBox 360 are the way to go.

Well, since you already have a Wii - it's not zombies, but there's lot of killing to be done. Grand theft auto in implementation - Godfather, Black Hand edition.

For "zombie" stuff, Resident Evil 4 gets good reviews (haven't played it myself tho, sad to say).

Thanks for all the advice.

The Wii was for the wife and I was hoping to have some fun on it too.

I'll get Resident Evil 4 and if I really get into it, I'll pickup a better console system.

PC and 360 are the two with the most first-person shooters, though the PS3 has the multiplatform games too, and some exclusives too.

Left4Dead 1/2 is something to look for if you want zombie killing.

get a 360, as mentioned above. RE4 is OK, but there are many better shooters on the 360.

The Wii, and Nintendo as a company, is like the Disney of gaming. Very much geared towards kids and family.

You've got bowling, fishing, golf, tennis... but scalping zombies and punching hookers is in short supply.

Still, you and the family will have fun with it. Pick up Rock Band.

I just love getting head from Tamika!

That is, I'm hooked on UT2004 and I love my sniper rifle. Sighting in, pulling the trigger, and seeing their heads pop in the gore of what happens when you hit the skull with a high powered rifle.

House of the Dead Overkill is a lot more fun to me than Resident Evil for killing zombies. Both are railed shooters.

One thing about House of the Dead Overkill, you don't wan't your kids around while playing it. The talking and the music lyrics are very mature. One of the songs is about screwing zombies chick.

I don't think they missed any curse words in that game lol. But if you want to blow away scantly clad zombie nurses weilding needles and stuff its awesome.

ETA: House of the Dead Overkill is what I originally ment even though I said HOTD 3. I had confused it with House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return for the Wii. I have them both but they are not as good and the newer Overkill game.
