anyone getting flooded with virus attached emails lately? I've gotten 8 so far this morning from different sources

Got nuked by some new worm last week and had to reload. Norton and AVG both missed it.

This shit is getting old quick.

Hey Mike,

Has anything "slipped" past our AR15.com e-mail anti-virus system?  (were any of the virii from your AR15.com e-mail account?)

On average, our AR15.com "Team Members" receive a COMBINED total of aproximately 60-100 virus/worm/trojan contaminated e-mail per day.   Although nothing is really 100% foolproof, I haven't heard of any instances where our system allowed contaminated messages to go through to our users.

On our Anti-Virus Gateway Server, we use Declude / Sophos & F-Prot to scan all inbound and outbound mail for potentially harmful content.  The original e-mail and attachment get deleted and a warning message gets sent to the sender AND the recipient.   AND..., just to ensure that we stay as current as possible,  we update both anti-virus scanning apps every 45 minutes.

Please let me know !!

Thanks.

Oops..  forgot:

To test our (and your) anti-virus scanning capabilities, Declude offers a web based tool that will send you a "simulated" (eicar) virus.

(it IS safe to use this tool!)

I have received a few lately again. Our friend Klez.

But my ISP has caught them with McAfee and my Norton caught the one that made it through.
