It seems like I got a virus from an old website that I went back to check to see it was still around. something like strange military pics or something like that. last time I was there I didn't have a problem, this time though I am.
I am running Avast antivirus and it is giving me a pop up warning of a virus action probably located at C:windows\system32\services.exe along with maybe some of the virus information. win32: malware gen C:windows installer\...\80000000.@ another is win32:Atraps-PF I tried running Avast and thought I had it when it also did the scan at bootup and then the damn thing popped back up again. I also tried trend micro for the heck of it and that barely caught any of it. I also found Avira antivirus as well and that didnt really catch anything. What can I do to get rid of this? The other part is that some time ago there used to be a maintenance progran that did quite a few things it had a logo like a little red toolbox. It had a handy little part that used to find duplicate files for you so you could eliminate duplicates in your system and clean things up and also give yourself a bit more Hard drive space. Anyone remember that program? and does anyone know if there is another one like it that is freeware? |
