My laptop runs Vista Home Basic &  I'm trying to install Cakewalk Guitar Tracks Pro 3, which was written for Windows 2000 & XP.

The auto run opens the menu on the disc. But when I click to install Cakewalk, the menu closes & that's it, the Install Wizard doesn't even open up.

Is there a plugin that I need to install Cakewalk?

And I apologize if this is a redundant question, but my searching turned up nothing.

I would check with Cakewalk, I believe that there have been a bunch of revisions since.

Well, I went poking around for the install file & found the setup icon, clicked on it & it worked. And the program appears to be working. I'll have to try recording with it a little later.

I don't know why I didn't think of trying to find the setup/install file before, but I have been a little burnt out this weekend.

Thanks for the input guys & not flaming me for a stupid question.
