Are the elevation markings supposed to illuminate or just the windage?

On mine the circle, dot, windage and elevation all illuminate. However the windage is far brighter than the elevation.
Eta: the circle and the dot are the brightest

Mine the semi circle is brightest. Crosshairs seem the same to me.

I thought there was a hint of illumination.

Everything seems to illuminate, but only the circle is bright. The cross hairs are very dim...
