TJ, you probably already knew this. no you wouldn't... there have been a few incidents where the shooter was not prosecuted. one case where the trucker chased the guy down with a 30.30 and killed him in the street. |

My roommates laughed at me when they saw me take my sigma into the bathroom.
I tried to explain to them that the last place I want to be when I hear glass break or a door get kicked in is with my pants around my ankles or shampooing my ball fro. Reach out of shower, grab sigma on shelf and go. |

It generally depends on the circumstances. In this case, the DA probably figured (wisely) that it would be a big waste of taxpayer money trying to make hay about her having squeezed off a round at a fleeing suspect. Not too many juries are going to convict a woman for doing that when an intruder just broke into her house while she was in the shower. |

My GLOCK is always under the towel that is laying on the shower step but there is a great way of hiding a firearm behind the towel on any towel rack. Paracord tied around towel rack and to a bore brush, place bore brush into barrel and throw towel over it all. Presto nothing showing and readily available should you need a very unassuming spot to grab the stash from. Obviously you will have to address if this will work in your house with regard to kids but the idea is high speed and low drag. |

Years ago there was an incident in the Seattle area where there was a home invasion of a bunch of gangbanger prospects looking for cred. They broke in while the man of the house was in the shower. They killed his wife and kids, then beat him to death with a baseball bat when he came out of the shower. Make fun of the people that take a gun into the shower with them, but there are more than one person who would probably be alive today if he had have.

I put a hand gun on top of the toilet tank (toilet right next to the shower) and cover it with a really nasty looking pair of ratty boxers I keep just for this. Maybe if they not only get into the house but into the bathroom with me, they may take a few seconds to consider touching those boxers to check for weapons, and that would be all the time I need.
