Just thought I'd share with anyone who may have tried the WWIIOL trial, from Playnet and cornered rats software.
A few months ago I was looking at my credit card statement and noticed a charge for 17.99 from PLAYNETINC. Well, WTF, I don't have a subscription to WWIIOL. I checked out the Playnet website, and sure enough, it says I canceled subscription in 2009. I've been charged 17.99 a month since then. So I tried calling Playnet, dont bother with that, nobody will ever answer, and there is no way to leave a message. I also E-mailed some staff, with no response. And then I changed billing from "Credit card re-occurring" to "Pay with cash" so they would stop billing my credit card. Well, they still billed my damn credit card. My "status" on the site has been "Not subscribed" or something rather, since 2009. Tried calling again yesterday, no luck. Had to have my CC canceled and hopefully file a claim that will get me a few months back. So to those of you who may have had the trial at one point, check your CC statements for PLAYNETINC billing. Seems like they have no problem continuing billing people. |
