My cousin tried to tell me that his great-grandfather was a sniper in WWII. He said that when he seen a tank, he would shoot the pins out of the tracks and when the crew got out to fix it he would kill them. Is this even possible? Any chance at all of this or just pure unadulterated bullshit? |
| A 150 grain 30 caliber bullet knock out a pin on even a Pzkw IV is ludicrous. Many of our "snipers" were not even trained. They may have been the best shot in the company and was given a 1903A4 sniper rifle without any instructions. That was quite common in WW II. |
