Why does walmart sell edited music but you can buy rated R dvd's that contain much worse things than cursing?

i don't shop there.  i don't care for businesses trying to force their sense of morality on me.  


...but that's the beauty of capitalism.  you can just shop somewhere else.



oh, and to answer your question, i don't know.  it doesn't make any sense does it?  i guess cussing is wrong, but jerking off to soft-core is okay?

because they don't release censored movies for the most part, whereas they make censored CDs already, so walmart carries those and not the regular ones.

Imagine going to the movie theater and paying your money to see the movie Basic Instinct.

Now imagine if you bought a walmart edited version of basic instinct on dvd when the movie was released to dvd/vhs/betamx/I don't know what else format?

Music is edited for radio play all the time.  

But mess with a movie in a big way and I think they would be better off to just not carry that specific movie.
