In my area they are hiding new deliveries under the counter. Asked the other day if they had any, there was a few cases of Prvi 5.56, 250rd 45ACP packs and various other ammo stashed underneath.
Don't need any, left it for the next guy. You just gotta be that guy I suppose.

I just happened to be in Wal Mart yesterday, which is rare for me. Their ammo shelf was almost empty. They had some stuff like 7mm and .300 mag and a couple of boxes of 20 gauge birdshot. They actually had a few boxes of Winchester 5.56. About $15 for 20 rounds, IIRC. Big sign stating 3-box limit per customer. They only had typical Fudd guns and youth .22s in the display rack. |

I checked my local Wal Mart today and they had a few 100rd packs of the expensive .22RF, two boxes of Fed Champion 9mm, they had three boxes of Tula .223, and quite a few boxes of .30-06 and .270, plus the normal shotgun stuff. i wanted to pick up a couple of boxes of .30-30 but they were even out of that.

Rolled into my local Walmart on Tuesday..... They had 50-60 boxes of the federal 9mm, 10 boxes of federal .38 special, 10 boxes of the Brass Maxx .223 and 10 boxes of the Brass Max .45 acp... Did well that day, called my brother and made a few trips to get the 9mm and .38....
I asked the kid behind the counter how strict they are about the 3 box limit....he says "very, but..... I get off work in an hour and there will be a new person here that hasn't seen you yet if you know what I mean".......

| Last time I was in my local Walmart it was picked bare. A couple boxes of shotgun shells was about all there was. I've heard that if you know when the deliveries come you can still score big time. Someone posted they picked up a 420 rd can of xm193 a couple days ago, then someone topped that by saying they picked up a 1k can. I've never seen one of those at my Walmart. Since I'm an hour away from my nearest Walmart and have a life I guess I won't see anything like that until the panic dies down. |

See, that's what I was expecting to pay when the lady said they were Federal 100 round boxes this morning. Federal seems to be consistently cheaper than Winchester all the time at Walmart, by a good amount. The Feds are $28.97 each. |
