Typical permanent traffic markings have glass beads applied to them after the paint is put down. Don't know about what wavelengths of light work (or maybe they all do?) but it wouldn't surprise me that a lidar system would see some reflectivity from the stripes. If so, it would also potentially pick up symbols like turn arrows, handicap parking spots, etc.  Of course, worn paint wouldn't show up as well, so it would not be a good idea to rely on it as a sole source of info. But, as another data point, that would be helpful.

It'll be hilarious if the much delayed earnings aren't as bad as expected, and if they include an official TYDE date.

Bought 100 more at the close to make the BBIG in my Roth a round number.
Should have waited until the close on the first 2k shares and saved $60.

They need to test pothole detection in Louisiana.  Spent 3 years in Baton Rouge.  Definitely will get some good "real world" data.

Good that you made money. Bad that the stock sucks so much that it couldn't hit the strike. I made less on $4 strikes.

Wanted to sell 2.5 calls and 3.0 puts when the combo was worth 0.80 or so Monday. If they both exercised I'd make 30 cents. If one exercised I'd be effectively selling stock for 3.30 or buying it for 2.20. Looks like it would have worked out OK.

My advice would be put it into something you know.... meaning if you work in construction, look at stocks that tie into that.  Really tech savvy, check out tech stocks... etc.  Seems like too many people want to get into whatever the hot stock at the moment is even if they have no clue what the company is about.

That can be fine if you're into T&A, but for the average person getting into stocks you don't understand is a recipe to get burned in my opinion

Not financial advice!
I'm in the process of rolling over a 401k to an IRA.
If MVIS stays under $4 I will buy 1k shares.
If it goes into the $2 range I will buy 2k shares.

I think they sent the roll over check by pony express, been rolling for a week.

Don't know anything about the twits.

And remember:

I'd wait for signs of a bull market before I started throwing down money and walking away(If that's what you're wanting to do).

Can scalp and be profitable right now, but I'm not trusting much and I've been playing mostly small caps lately.

EDIT: PPCB is a tiny float (73 Million Unrestricted) OTC that might get pumped next week. Chart looks OK(needs to hold current level). I grabbed a starter at 012 today... if someone is wanting a lotto and watches their port daily to either cut it or scale out.

They said in the delay announcement that the 4q2021 loss was going to be significantly greater than 4q2020. Tyde would be a nice surprise.

"Consistent with its results for the second and third quarters of 2021, the Company will report a net loss for the year ended December 31, 2021 that is significantly greater than the net loss reported for the year ended December 31, 2020. The increase in net loss is primarily due to the significant impact of (i) losses on issuance and change in fair value of warrants issued by the Company during 2021 that qualify for warrant liability treatment, (ii) of stock-based compensation costs, and (iii) amortization of deferred financing costs."

Of course the 2021 annual loss will be the biggest annual loss ever, they lost over $20 per share in the first 3 quarters of 2021.

The quote is great, especially coming from a Microvision employee involved in the track testing, but the more you read about this guy the further down the rabbit hole you go...he's quite the enigma. When did MVIS' okay individual employees doing freelance PR?

"Matthew Cole - Lidar is not a crowded market once you sift through the company's design capabilities, product performance and reputation for delivering cutting-edge technology you are left with MicroVision."

..."Also interesting that he posted 6 hours ago about the Qualcomm stellantis deal and said they continue to find success in the leading edge technology and customer focused solutions..👀"

Title at Microvision is "specialist", everywhere else he's been it's "corporate VP". This is good stuff for us conspiracy buffs

If you haven’t been following this thread for a while already then you might not have realized that most of the folks in here are either day traders or gamblers.

Not to say that’s a bad thing, but just to be aware. As someone mentioned already, we could be going into a downturn with energy and inflation both up.

A safer bet would be index and mutual funds. But you want to get into these, there are a few plays that might pay out.

It also helps to invest in what you understand. I’m bullish on mvis and sens long term, but also view those as a bit of a gamble because a few things will have to line up for them and they could bust. I also got into energy a couple years ago and that’s doing nicely now and paying dividends

I got lucky on sens and sold prior to the fda approval and subsequent tanking. I bought back in close to bottom and was about even when I sold it to get funds for another stock purchase.

I'm right with you on bbig. The next big pump I'm bailing out. I may get back in the next big down turn to sell calls on. But they have certainly tried my patience.
