Helsreach is about the Templars on Armageddon. It's also a 13 part animated series.

Here it is edited together.

My Knight House, so far.  1 Castellan, 1 Valiant, and seven magnetized Armigers that can switch between Helverins, Warglaives, and various Moirax load-outs.

My 17-year-old son is into the game, too.  Here, his Primaris LT is about to dispatch my wounded Warglaive.

A pair of my Helverins.

My son's Crimson Fists vs. my Imperial Knights.

A game against a Blood Angels list.  He was brutal in the charge.  I lost on points (can't hold objectives).

That video series is actually what got me back into 8th edition, after quitting after 3rd edition.

I found a couple beautiful Custodes files on Cults3d, and printed out a dozen.

Then, I wanted a pair of special dreadnoughts, but wanted to do my own twist on them, so I mixed a few meshes up from other people.  I like the He-man and Thundercats mods, which hearken back to my 80s childhood.

The dreads are meant to emulate Contemptor dreadnoughts, specifically the Custodes Galatus dreads.  Look up their stats on their ForgeWorld page in the PDF section.  They're nasty.

My BiL just bought a big tote full of Warhammer books that a customer was trying to unload. Anything he should look for as being hard to find or valuable? I don't know if these are all still being printed, or if there were some short runs of certain books....

The super limited stuff will have different bindings, mostly leather or cloth.  Last I checked stuff like the Guardsmans Uplifting Primer was going for $100+ on ebay.

Are these the game books or the novels?

Also, age has something to do with it.  Very early stuff does have some collector value.  More recent stuff might have almost no value at all as the game moves along releasing a new edition every few years.  It really depends on what he has rather than any sort of blanket statement on value across the board.

Okay, that makes a difference.  There's not a lot of collector value in many of the novels.  However, Black Library (Games Workshop's fiction department) has over the past few years stopped publishing some volumes.  Some of those are the larger omnibus editions for example.  Check Amazon for the Eisenhorn Omnibus edition in English.  Scalpers on there have it listed starting at $155.  Now, it goes without saying that no one in their right fucking mind would drop $155 to $256 (the range of used editions of the Eisenhorn Omnibus as of right now) on that.  But, finding someone who might put $50-60 on it isn't out of the realm of possibility.  It consists of three separate novels which on their own retail for like $16, plus it has several short stories that aren't readily found elsewhere.  It might be worth it to just run the titles of each one through Amazon and see what's in print and what's not.

Also of note, is that the desirable books from Black Library are far outnumbered by the ones that are kind of throwaways.  Black Library is, if we're being honest, a publisher of modern pulp novels.  Not that there's anything wrong with that, but, the value of used editions of a lot of their books reflect that.

Gotcha. There are a bunch of omnibuses in the tote, but I'm not sure which ones. I'll see what he wants to do with them. They have a coin/collectibles shop and people come in with some weird stuff, lol.

Great work, I need to do the same for lascannons on my sentinels, I had just started 40k and thought the missile launchers were great, boy was that a mistake.

I guess, with Imperial Guard, it's all about the Russes and Basilisks.  And drowning your enemies in bodies.

I painted the Warglaive weapons up.

I was suspecting something was happening behind closed doors. This must be one of the reasons why he went silent on his Patreon since November.

Still, I’m not very convinced it will be a win for the fans, this is what happened to Richard Boylan after he made Helsreach. He went working for GW, they released a couple of trailers a year ago about an upcoming Blood Angels short coming up, and then nothing. I fear this might happen again with Astartes.

1000 point game of Custodes vs. Genestealer Cultists.
I took 10 custodians, a shield Captain, and a pair of Galates dreads.
My golden boys tabled him by turn 3.  They were saving all over the place.  It was amazing.
My first game with Custodes.  They are little badasses.
