They have no choice. They tried for over 8 years to convince the American public that Trump is Hitler incarnate, that he's a Russian stooge, that he is a rapist, a racist, a sexist, and a homophobe. That he was massively unpopular and only the fringe far-right would vote for him. That Biden was sharp as a tack, no matter what we see with our eyes and hear with our ears. That Kamala was immensely likable and on and on with the blatant fucking lies.
The American public didn't listen. They have lost ALL trust and the end for them is nigh if they don't immediately shift to a neutral stance, at least in appearance. They have lost their influence and they know it so if they ever want to manipulate the public again, they'll have to regain some trust by at least pretending to do real journalism. We'll see if they're smart enough to realize it or if they just double down. |
