It won't really get any better.

There was great potential but it ended up being gayer than two fistfuls of another man's chest hair.

Had high hopes, but throught it sucked.

Quote of the movie:

Elivs (Willem Dafoe):  "Living in a world where vampires are the dominant species is about as safe as bare backing a 5 dollar whore."

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead (see what I did there) with a question.  Spoiler Alert here for those who haven't seen it yet.
At the end of the movie, how exactly are the going to implement their cure?  It seems like they would have to either convince or simply sucker a vampire into 'taking one for the team' by receiving the cure and then pretty much dump him/her off in the middle of a town/city as vampire food to get the snowball effect rolling.  And by going that route, wouldn't they lose a large percentage of the population in the process.  It would go down to last vampire standing.

Epic sequel material.

I figured they would find some way of spreading a sample of their blood.  Give it to one vamp and then others go feeding frenzy and a whole group is turned.

FTR I liked the movie.  Thought it was an original turn on the whole vampire legend.

The one guy did take one for the team when he allowed himself to be chomped on by the swat vamps. I think that the bottom line you are supposed to walk away with as the credits roll is that the disease is going to be beaten. The specifics..well, maybe they were leaving it open ended for a sequel if the movie did well.

I don't remember if they even checked to see if they could just inject a small amount of the turned blood in a vamp but the army vamps had tons of tranq dart guns.

That's what we figured they would eventually do, but we always came across the stumbling block that the vampires in the movie had no pulse, so there would be no way to spread the cured blood throughout their bodies.
