| Great movie, watched it again for the 3rd or 4th time the other day. Who makes the 1911's they are shooting? Colt? And did the actors get formal training with them? |
I had heard that as well...so I looked it up...Stephen Hunter says Navy SEAL www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/entertainment/movies/reviews/wayofthegunhunter.htm |
This is all I could find on that so far www.imdb.com/title/tt0202677/trivia "The rifle used be Benicio Del Toro at the motel and in the brothel was an Isreali made Galil .308. The handguns used by Parker and Longbaugh were M1911s in 9mm for ease of use with blanks. The handguns used by the bodyguards were H&K USP 9's. The Revolvers were Smith and Wesson .38 Specials. The shotgun was a Remington 870 12 guage." |
That's not what the director said in the special features. He also said it was filmed in Utah, not Mexico. |
|
Galil .308 Sniper is semi-auto. He just pulled the trigger fast. And they didn't live in Mexico, they crossed the border to get away from possible law enforcement. |
![]() Is it wrong that I laughed when he punched her in the nose? ![]() Way of the Gun opening scene |
That scene always bothered me because he never took the safety off on that galil. Even when he ran out of ammo & dropped the gun, the safety was still in the on position. |
