They are without a shepherd tonight. Pray for his friends and family as well.

His dogs will all wonder why he never came back.

They understand death if they watch it happen, they don't understand not coming back to them

Ahhh hell.  Didn’t see the change in the title until just now.

Seemed like a good guy, too worried about the dogs to go take care of himself when this kicked off.  I liked to read his threads and see how folks would run his dogs all across the country to their new homes.

Hope I did a little something that Mark would have liked when I rescued two lab mix puppies a few weeks ago, one had been hit by a car.  The other was kind of just traumatized nearby in the woods.  Got the injured one to an all night vet and the county took the other the next day, and they told me that both should be adopted very quickly.  Possibly some of the nicest dogs I have ever seen, despite being in a bad situation and clearly not being cared for.Attachment Attached File

Wow, been a little behind and just catching up to find out bad news...

Cash has been, and continues to be a wonderful dog!  My German Shepherd pup (1ish) is always giving Cash a hard time, but they play well with each other...  Mark will be missed.

RIP Mark. You did great things and as others have said, the rainbow bridge had to be sagging from the weight of all those pups running to see you.

Damn!  I remember seeing this thread at the end of July.  Didn't see the update until now.  Never met him.  But, seeing the work he did.  At a loss for words.  Dusty in here.  Will say a prayer for him and all the pups he left behind.
