I heard that on the radio today.

When I was out of state it was weird not being able to find a bar within 5 minutes of driving around in any given direction.

yes it is a whole different culture. Don't know if its the old German heritage and all the brewing or what ever.

Used to work at a Tool and die shop. We were allowed to drink during work hours. This is back in the mid '70's.
I remember sitting on a large die set running a large drill press with a bottle of beer sitting there with me.'
This lasted till someone got hurt then they changed the practice to drinking for the last hour only!!
