alright, I've had enough problems with Troy Built. My current one just crapped out on me for the third time. Tomorrow morning I'm heading out to get a new one. I've narrowed it down to this one or this one the Cub Cadet is a 4 cycle compared against the gas/oil mixture Husky. I'm sorta leaning toward the CC but I'd like to hear some feedback from you guys if you have either of the two, or if you have any other suggestions that are priced similar to teh other two. |

Several pro landscapers I know use only Maruyama. I used to work for a hardware store that sold them and they're almost indestructible. www.maruyama-us.com/ |
| I just went from my cheap $100 Lowes brand trimmer to a professional model from Stihl. There is no comparison between the two. The old trimmer would use line up like crazy just trimming grass. If I tried to trim around my foundation or some rocks the line was chewed up instantly. The Stihl I have now has so much more power and the line lasts forever. I can actually trim my stone foundation without having to bump out more line every 10 seconds. In fact I don't remember bumping any line out. It is amazing how this new trimmer works. |

My grandfather swore by shindawa, but I have only rarely seen a place that sells them. My personal preference is Echo. They work, flawlessly, and they do it year after year. The best part about echo, is if you need a part, you can go right to Home Depot and GET ONE. Unlike that normal 2 cycle crap from china. The same model is available every year, so the store actually stocks parts. Heaven forbid you need something serious, there are actually places that can work on them, and get parts! Not like your average wally world junk... |
