Sjambok. The only thing that busts up a protest faster is a pissed off autist in a Challenger.

Guard rail nut on a length of paracord.
I forget the entire quote as it's been years, but coloring books for Christmas is the end result. |

My hands. Whether they're punching or grabbing, they're doing damage, and I can take them everywhere.

I just bought one of those Kabar TDI knives, seems kinda idiot proof for what it's limited role, but I need to find some training for it.
I watched a video that said you had to be mentally ready to stab somebody. Well... yeah. |

Kusarigama seemed like they were pretty nasty weapons. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c3/Kusarigama.jpg/1200px-Kusarigama.jpg View Quote |

Something with a blade around 20-24 inches seems like a nice compromise in terms of being able to defend/fight in enclosed spaces as well as outdoors, and is a bit more concealable (Blade and Highlander notwithstanding). Plus, proven track record, even in modern times! Attached File View Quote |

The art in many swords and knives is something I greatly admire. There are many things about knives and swords to be admired as much as the art in pistol or rifle making.
Thanks to all for posting photos of the swords, knives, and other weapons. |

... Just a simple iaito, but it was suggested to me that I could practice with a shinken once in a while, so I have this Tozando shinken I've been using for the last few months: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ASdrHKcxXec/WQlliSAjDdI/AAAAAAAAnaQ/3G8Sc0AXCM4EK9ScJt1d-r_cl5oXtFlKQCPcB/s1600/P5024818.JPG View Quote I got my kendo armor from Tozando about 20 years ago. Small world. |

I'd have to say my penis. It hasn't fired off any warning shots lately and takes longer to reload as I get older, but it's never jammed or misfired.

I'm well equipped with sharp things of all sorts, most of which would get the immediate and undivided attention of LEO if I carried them around in an urban setting, and with good reason.
I'm leaning towards the idea of a simple walking stick, like others have mentioned in this thread. It can be carried openly anywhere without comment and makes for a rather wicked weapon when needed. And at 60, I can use the extra support from time to time, if I'm honest about it. |
|
I also like weighted throwing sticks and fist knives.
A throwing stick is about 10-24" long with a stone attached to one end. Very simple to make and they are good for use with one in each hand as a fighting weapon. they can be attached to lanyards and swung or thrown. lots of ways that they have been used through out history. 3 pounds of stone traveling at 40MPH will fuck you up. Basically the Sceptre is what I am talking about.. Sling shots are awesome. |

Really though the best weapons are worn, vambraces are useful.
Same goes for all articulate old world armor. The Armors protection is what makes a soldier effective. The ability to take a blo to strike. |
