https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/1808/text It starts off basically proclaiming it's UNCONSTITUTIONAL, and in fact an amendment to the 2nd amendment, with the title, "a bill to regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes." A closer look at what they want to ban... not just AR's and AK's, but pistols you can suppress, braced pistols, binary triggers and frt's and more. A semiautomatic assault weapon is defined in the text as... 1. the usual aesthetic aspects (threaded barrel, barrel shroud, pistol grip, detachable Mag, etc) 2. Any part or combo of parts or upgrade to increase rate of fire, (so all drop in triggers, forced reset, binary, or any part they can claim affects rate of fire) 3. A Semiauto pistol with detachable mag AND ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: a threaded barrel, stabilizer brace, weighs 50 ounces, etc 4. Semiauto Shotguns with detachable mags AND ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: pistol grips, fixed mag holding more than 5 rounds, detachable/folding/telescoping stock, etc 5. All AR AND AK TYPES with a bunch listed 6. Any combo of parts to build one 7. All belt feds 8. All receivers of the above rifles/shotguns It also bans all mags holding more than 10 rounds. The meat of the ban and the grandfathering is the following: "(1) It shall be unlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault weapon. “(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to the possession, sale, or transfer of any semiautomatic assault weapon otherwise lawfully possessed under Federal law on the date of enactment of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2021." note: In order to enforce the law and uphold the grandfathering they will need registration of all preban weapons. It cannot be enforced otherwise. They will likely use an omnibus funding bill to slip in the amendment for said illegal and currently outlawed national registry. The bill requires postban weapons and mags to have both serial numbers and dates of manufacture clearly marked. The bill has the usual bullshit carve-out, saying this doesn't apply to police, retired police, the feds, the state gov agencies, etc, which creates "separate but equal" laws and multi-tiered "justice" and invalidates the whole pile of excrement as far as any reasonable person knows. Then it goes into requiring "Secure Storage Or Safety Device Requirement For Grandfathered Semiautomatic Assault Weapons" All grandfathered weapons must be transferred through an FFL dealer and conduct a BGC, according to the Bill. It's a load of crap, it's unconstitutional per the Second Amendment & numerous SCOTUS cases, and I doubt it will pass, but there it is. |

As we know they will never stop, ever. Once day when the old guard is gone and USSC is full of leftist scum they will overrule any decision affirming the 2nd. Of course when this happens they will also be in the position to grant amnesty to 50+million illegals giving them control of everything at every level of gov't. Once this happens they will just amend the constitution to ban whatever they want to include speech. I predict this happens before 2040. |

Remember the left has learned a lot since 1994. They have become very bold and drunk with power. The left has also learned from their mistakes, sunset clauses, and are more specific in how they define a assault weapon. If anyone thinks the mid terms in November are going to be a cake walk, fools themselves. We have seen what the left will do when Trump was in office, and the attacks were daily and continuous upon this country and anyone who opposed them. |
