What does age matter? I've been getting a lot of comments like NM I just realized your just a kid. Its true that I do play that card a lot in the pit. But really what does it matter if I'm 90 or 9. Before I announced that I was a kid you could tell the difference, and for those of you that do not venture into the depths of the pit that were meant for those that the devil himself spit out of hell, If it weren't for my Title you wouldn't know. Its not the age you are but the age you act. I act more mature then a lot of you and can probably shoot better then half. So what are you comments on this what does it matter? <rant off> |

I never pay attention to how old people are on ar15.com. Occasioanlly, it comes up and I'm totally surprised at how young some of you are - but then I forget because I don't keep track. If people make good point, or good jokes, or contribute to interesting discussions - then that's great, regardless of age. If people say stupid or irresposible stuff, then I'll pick on them and call them stupid - regardless of age. |
i agree, they make old idiots too. |
|
All I know is from my own life. 25 years ago I was abrasive and thought I knew it all. If you didn't agree with me I just considered you stupid. With age comes wisdom and as old as I am I realize that I still have a long way to go before I become wise.![]() Don't really know much about you and don't really recall any of your posts. But I have seen a lot of younger people here act more mature than some old farts here. Guess it's just the upbringing. Unfortunately, you may be the exception and not the rule. |
|
Maybe your post doesn't warrant a serious response? the obvious never does ............... Three immature things you said .... 1. Stated the obvious, only idiots and children do this 2. Claimed to be more mature than alot of us. 3. Claimed to be a better shot than half of us. Ask in a serious manner, you MAY get a serious answer .... |
I guess he is just playing the odds. Don't be obsessed with your age or how old other folks think you are. If you let it get under your skin it can cause you to post childish things on the net. |
Then age should not be a factor in any judgement, it dosn't matter if your a man a woman, black or white, 7 or 70. Its how you act. I hereby demand that all judgements are made by how you act not anything else. If you have a problem with that you will answer to me. |
Wise words from a wise man, but I tried do that I've just had a bad day and that was the straw that broke the camels back. |
One of the greatest things about the Internet... It’s an equalizer. You could be 90 or 9. It does not matter. Case in point.. I’m a Gunsmith and was contacted by one of the member on the board in regards to a lower transfer. Through communications with him I found out that he did not have a Drivers License (id) for the transfer. I’m thinking oh great... Get gets back with me a couple of days later and tells me he has his learners permit. His stuff shows up. And comes wheeling in, on an electric wheel chair with his dad (explains the DL thing). Hell I’m 35 years young. Lost 2 hamstrings to cancer this year, was in desert storm(yes the original). But who cares.... As long as you bring coherent IDEAS to the mix, I could care less if you were 5! This is an open forum to share experiences and ideas. That’s how this place flourishes. And I am a bit of a smart ass from time to time. |

LOL I was fixing my dads PC at 7. He still cant keep his working for more than a year without tech support. |
The difference between age and maturity is EXPERIENCE! I am highly intelligent (or so all those head shrinker I went to as a kid used to tell me), and I also have always been more mature than my peers. When I was younger, I would constantly be frustrated by the fact that I was not taken seriously by adults due to my age. As I have gotten older I realize the at the age or 14 I may have been more INTELLIGENT than most of the adults around me, but I did not have as much EXPERIENCE in the real world as they did! I have come to see that many of the perceptions that I had as a kid have changed as I have gotten older, due to the experiences that I have gained. Let me give you a cliched piece of advice. Don't be in a hurry to grow up! Enjoy being a kid! Being an adult is a pain in the a- eh, butt! But on the other hand, as an adult I can go whereever I want, whenever I want without asking or telling anyone! AND YOU CAN"T! NYA-NYA-NYA-NYA-NYA! |
And we can have beer!!! hahahahahahah |
Your definition of maturity is flawed ... but I just saw your age ... my my, you are just a puppy! explains the immature responses ... I will slack up on you, I have kids your age, wouldnt want some old fart on the net picking on them either. I must admit, I knew you were young, but not THAT young ... now Im a tad impressed... |

Fox,on a serius note.Dont worry about what other poeple think of you ,i was just playing on my previous post and it looks like you really didnt like it too well |

motown_steve, I have the same problems you had. At school I am surrounded by idiots. Like the Wiggaz that say there gonna pop a cap in my bitch ass. Then I have to go and beat there ass. But its not only confined to the students, no my computer teacher insists on doing every thing the long way and I use the hot keys she yells at me and tells me I'm wrong. I was working on my AWB sunset webpage at school and she told me I couldn't because I might download a virus. WTF? And then even when I'm in advanced classes (algebra 1 in eighth grade) I'm surrounded by Idiots. Its easy. I knew that stuff in 3rd grade. I have given up all hope on the world. The human races only hope is that all the morons get a disease and die off. |
There wouldn't be much left. |
See I surprise people with my age. Thats why I started this post. Age does not matter. Oh and give me all you got. I can hold my own with the big dogs. |
Yo.... you need to learn to appreciate the morons! they will always exist and have money to spend. How would the world be if we were ALL intelligent? Who would work at McDonalds? Who would screw up the computer network on Friday and pay me $150 per hour to fix it? WISDOM allows you to interact in a positive way with whatever the world around you offers ... WISDOM is not neccesarily dependant on age, it depends on how well you swallow your pride and learn from others, ALL others, no matter what level of intelligent they may possess. Unfortunetly, most people dont figure this out until later in life.... |
|
Exactly, hopefully there would be enough to prevent imbreeeding and then a smarter race would be created. |
You're obviously intelligent, technical, interested in politics, and from what I can see you are well rounded too! Don't get frustrated! Their futures are limited, yours is much much more open! These same wiggaz will be changing your oil someday! And if you learn to "play the game" (giving people what they want, to get what you want from them) with your teachers, you will be an unstoppable success in your professional field. Think of it this way, if all of the morons get killed off by a plague, who's gonna cut the grass on your estate when your 30? |
No one will change my oil. I have givin up on those people too. For some reason they can't comprehend that you are sopposed to change the oil not just say you did. |
I have given up on those people too, for some reason they cannot comprehend that you are supposed to change the oil not just say you did. As for the lawn thats what the robotic ones are for. |
Personally, I could tell you were under 16 when you first joined, FOX-. You have poor grammar and spelling, and several of the posts you initiated were quite childish, as were the replies. You are just like all of the other grade-school age members on this board, posting frequently over the summer, but not much during the school year. I remember the summer I spent when I was 13 (21 years ago ), I was OUTSIDE being productive and being a kid, not inside on a computer (because we didn't have one). Age only matters here in terms of ability to purchase and legally own firearms and the experiences which result from such. There are several posters here who are under 18, but have welcome and insightful views on firearms and related topics. However, I can't say that I have read a post of yours that didn't involve the Pit, your shameless attempts at gathering attention over your age (Whoopee! He's 13!), or trivial wargames. However, I don't visit here all too often, and when I do it is to view posts of interest regarding politics and Second Amendment rights, so I may have missed out on your golden post. You seem to enjoy drawing attention to your age, or lack thereof. Are your 7th grade buddies any more impressed with you being 13 than anyone here? I am coming off as an ass, because I am tired of reading about tacpoint/airsoft/13 year olds/summer vacation, and absolutely cannot wait for the school year (whenever that is) to set in so GD is free of inane juvenile crap. You asked. |
