The Greek phrase Molōn labe! (Μολὼν λαβέ; approximate Classical Greek pronunciation [molɔ̀ːn labé], Modern Greek [moˈlon laˈve]), meaning "Come and take them" is a classical expression of defiance reportedly by King Leonidas in response to the Persian army's demand that the Spartans surrender their weapons at the Battle of Thermopylae. It corresponds roughly to the modern equivalent English phrase "over my dead body", "bring it on" or, most closely, "come and get it". It is an exemplary use of a laconic phrase.

As I  understand it, pronunciation is something along the lines of "Mah-lone Lab-eh", but the "b" is kind of a halfway sound between a B and a V.

Also as I understand it, the closest to literal meaning is "having come, take"

What does it mean? Really? What does the fact that you can't search anywhere but arfcom mean? Really? You can't find MOLON LABE anywhere on the intarwebs? Or, if you can, you come here to ask this stupid question? To act as though you're an ignoramus? Give me a fucking break.

Please, excuse me. I initially thought you might be older than 6 years, but I just might be mistaken.

Memberships pay for bandwidth, and your wasting that.

ETA: OP, you're from Texas. I expect something better. Really, I do.

It never fails. All it takes is the right combination of words to set off all the people on any forum that sit in front of their monitors and wait for the oppertunity to flame someone so they can feel superior, even if for a brief moment.
For all of you that answered me honestly and politely, thank you. As for the rest of you, get a life.
I was trying to be humorous. I guess that was wasted on some of you.
As for age, I'm 62, been shooting since I was 5. Long before most of your daddies were born.
You people take this wayyy too seriously.

Overused garbage now. A lot of the clowns who spout it at any available opportunity are the same who would never follow through.

When I see/hear that "Molon Labe", Operator, Tactical, or any combination of those I tend to ignore the person unless I know them personally.

Asking an outwardly stupid question does not comedy make.

Yes I say outwardly stupid, because 2 seconds on Google would answer it.

Therefore, do not get butt-hurt in the future when failing at humor.
