My buddy is going on a trek into middle earth... he asked me for a recommendation for a primary weapon and secondary weapon.
Im thinking 308 with a side of .357 PS.. He might have some encounters with Uruk Hai |

Orcs are slightly smaller than most men. 5' to 5-6" usually. The biggest orcs are less than 6' tall. 5.56 and 9mm should be more than sufficient.
The other thing to remember is that the average Orc or goblin is typically quite cowardly. Like jackals or hyenas, they're really only dangerous in groups. So if you do have an Orc incident, you're likely to be facing multiple attackers. Hi capacity mags are your friend. ETA: of course the fighting Uruk hai and the black uruks of Mordor are more dangerous than the average goblin of the Misty Mountains. This goes without saying. |
