Between 20 to 30 people were affected by the fumes because of a chlorine leak. County officials say the incident started in the Lazy River pool. More than 10 ambulances were called to the scene. One person, who was transported, was reportedly unconscious. MGM representatives say no one suffered critical injuries. MGM officials say the fumes were released when an injector valve became stuck causing a release of chlorine. They say the problem has been fixed but the pools are closed, for now. The Las Vegas Fire Department's hazardous material team is investigating. Two of the pools reopened at 4:30pm. |
