Hey!
The folks who stop their car in the middle of the road may be trying to set you up for trouble. Guy did this to my old partner and took a shots at her when she was walking up. He just pulled an armed robbery and didn't wanna get caught. Another incident, guy stopped in the middle of the street. The doors all opened up with multiple suspects fleeing the car. Car was stolen, go figure. This stopping in the middle of the road stuff is a good first indicator of someone who is trying to set you up. Or they are just braid dead. Never know for sure until you contact them. Be careful. |

After being on the receiving end of a red faced, hand on firearm screaming at by a female cop for driving an extra 100ft into a well lit, parking lot rather then stopping on a 4 lane road with no shoulder, I would be tempted next time to just shut it down in the middle of the road. I was told when she lights me up on "her" road, I am to stop as soon as I see the lights come on. My crime was that she couldn't see my license plate, I think it was because the rim of her steering wheel was obscuring her vision (short). |

Wait, what crime did you commit again? |

When I get pulled over, I like to sit on my hands and shift my weight just as the officer looks away. I also like to get belligerent with them and dismiss all orders as suggestions. It's worked for me so far. I'm Sooooooooooooooo friggin glad I didn't see this last night. All I do sober is shake my head, and laugh now. Oh Yea, keep me updated for the outcome on this. I'm still looking for that 1 dumbass who gets the happy ending.

People that stop in the road, or otherwise leave me exposed to traffic, are guaranteed a ticket. See, I always start looking for the safest place for me to pull way the fuck over when I see the blue lights; even if this means not pulling over right that second. I'll hit my hazards and slow down to indicate I understand. More than once I've gotten screamed at for driving 50ft further down the street so both of us could be completely off the road, instead of pulling over right when I saw the lights. :::shrugs::: Cops around here with the exception of VASP, are usually assbags of the highest order. So my question at this point, is if the officer gets wiped off the face of the earth while standing at my window, am I free to drive away? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I got pulled over last week because the cop "thought I could have stopped in time" when I proceeded through a light that turned yellow just as I hit the crosswalk. First I slowed to the side of the road and put my hazards on,then decided to pull into the Dunkin Donuts parking lot.He pulled up beside me,rolled down his passenger window and uttered the above phrase about how he "thought" I could have stopped in time. He "thought" I could have stopped in time, what the fuck is that supposed to mean ? The cop "let me go with a verbal warning" ![]() Anyway... Bottom line was that I figured if I was going to get a ticket, best for the cop not to get run over on the side of the road while he was pumping up his ego,so I pulled into the closest and safest place, which was the Dunkin Donuts parking lot.In MA,cops seem to WANT to get hit by cars passing by,lifetime disability benefits or something. They could just as easily instruct someone over the loudspeaker to pull into a parking lot or side road, but they don't.They seem to enjoy writing tickets while blocking traffic and cars passing by them within inches when there are much safer places like side roads or parking lots in the area..In CA,cops always instructed people to pull off at the next exit, pull into the parking lot etc..Seems cops in MA are just idiots when it comes to their own safety. |

My favorite one was about 18 years ago. Was at a hunting camp and volunteered to drive a few tipsy fellas about ten miles to an interstate exit for more beer, cigs, and to eat at the greasy truck stop diner there. I was fine to drive, had had a couple of beers several hours before, was gtg at that point. We are on a dark dirt road in the middle of the woods and a car pulls out of nowhere and starts riding our ass. Stop to make a turn and look back to see a dark colored Dodge Intrepid I think with dark windows. We drive a little further so I slow down to about 10 mph because they are right on my tailgate, about that time they flip on a tiny little blue visor strobe light. No way in hell I'm stopping on a dirt road in BFE for an unmarked car with just a small blue light. So we just drive the dirt road all the way to the interstate exit about five more miles from that point with them behind us, dusting the hell out of them the whole way . Pull up at the truck stop and it is actually two county deputies in plain clothes, part of the "drug task force" at the time. They weren't very happy. Made us all get out, checked me out for DUI, no open containers (they were out of beer anyway), no drugs or anything, some legal guns in the gun rack, etc. They ask me why I was running from them and wouldn't stop, I asked why they were pulling us over in the first place, they just said we were suspicious. I told them we didn't stop because they were pretty suspicious themselves. About that time another deputy pulled up that I knew pretty well and he talked to the other two a few minutes and then they returned all my documents and told us and I quote "Yall get what yall need from the truck stop, and go straight back to yall's hunting camp, don't wanna see yall riding around here anymore tonight" Me "Yes sir" and we were on our way. Nothing too crazy, just wasn't going to stop in that situation out in the middle of nowhere at night. |

No shit. Pull off the damn road. My own stupidity (doing 70 in a 60) got me snagged once. I was approaching an exit when the lights came on, so I pulled off into the exit and pulled well off to the side. I didn't want to 'that asshole' that starts a slowdown on the freeway because of all the people that slow down to 50 and try to get over, causing others to slow down. If I'm on a busy street with no side parking, I'll pull into a small side street or parking lot if I ever get pulled over again. Saw some ass a couple months ago get pulled over in town. Four lane road with no shoulders and heavy traffic. They stopped 30 feet from a small side street. |

There I was stopped in the left turn lane with a RED LIGHT when Miss Law Enforcement officer with her panties on fire decides to turn her lights on behind me. I wasn't going any where because it was a RED LIGHT and there is CROSS TRAFFIC with a green. But Miss Panties on fire then turned on her SIREN. Hell, bitch, I ain't going anywhere, you fucking got my attention. Then the IMPATIENT BITCH gets on the PA and TELLS ME TO MOVE. FUCK YOU BITCH, YOU CANNOT TELL ME TO ENDANGER MY LIFE. By that time, the left turn lane opened up and I got off the busy intersection. But Miss Panties on Fire? She goes on down the fucking road, not turning left and following me. She has all the main lanes stopped and she turns off her lights/siren and is going a legal speed, as in abiding the speed limit. So yeah, I have issues with THAT. |

I saw the best one EVAR a few weeks ago.
Cop was on the left shoulder with lights on. Other vehicle with one occupant was in far left lane (HOV 2 at the time) STOPPED with her right turn signal on. People were swerving over into the other lane trying to avoid her. Best I can figure was that she got an HOV ticket, went to pull out and didn't want to get another ticket so instead of accelerating in the HOV lane and moving over I guess she thought it would be better to stop in the middle of interstate and move over in a break in traffic.

Done this several times , probably 10-15 stops in past 30 years , last one was on a narrow, hilly, two lane country rd , I was doing 10 over , lights come on , I slowed to about 20 under ,turned blinker on(there was an intersection about 150 yds ahead) , after about 100' sirien comes on and cop pulls halfway in other lane and startsflashing his spot light as well , So I stopped in the middle of the rd on a hill. If he wants to be in idiot so can I , No ticket either |

Yeah, I know what you mean. This is why I'm always going to be tempted to pull over immediately unless it's totally unsafe. The inconvenienced people behind you aren't going to give you a ticket, only an angry cop will.
