Rural has to be more than 10 acres? I live on 7 acres that borders 11,000 acres of pulic huting. Over 50% of the county here is public land and the nearest stop sign when you leave my house is 40 miles away. Go ahead and count yourself as rural .. An interesting side thread would be population dens. part of my land is in one county with 7/Sq Mile the other part is 3/ Sq Mile |

Little town of 30k or so. It's funny how perspective changes I have lived in Harris CO TX , other metro areas now 30k SEEMS HUGE my entire county is under 12k on the populated side When I moved to Round Rock in '83 the town was ~ 11,000. Today it's nearly 200,000. Austin was ~ 380,000. Now it's almost 1 million. |

I live in a rural area in a region that is considered a metropolis of 250K. That doesn't really fit into any of the categories. It is a ten minute drive to a gas station, twenty to pretty much anything you can think of, it goes from urban to rural very quickly here. |
| Born and raised a few miles outside of a town with a population of 982. Then to keep the woman happy we bought a house in a suburb 20 mins away with a 3k pop of a city with a population of 80k. Spend all my time where I grew up all my family is there, plus 100acres of river bottoms. |
