| Which iPhone case for a cell phone abuser. ? |
|
You will hate the bulk of those big phone cases, they make the phone heavier, bulkier, lint gets in all the crevices, it will grab your pocket lining as well.
Get something that is very slim and tight fitting. My INCASE case protects it almost as good as the otterbox I USE to have... |

I use the otterbox commuter. Commuter FTW! +1. This is what I've got on my Android phone (Incredible 2) and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm pretty easy on it though, so the Defender may suit your needs better. Either way, I'm happy with the Otterbox products I've used. |

I work as a full time firefighter, so my phone gets a lot of abuse. I've had the Magpul case, the Otterbox Commuter and the Defender. Although it was initially very tight fitting, after about two weeks the MagPul case got loose and wouldn't stay on the phone. I also didn't like that It didn't have any screen protection. Both Otter Box cases didn't last more than a month or two in my pocket before going to hell. The Otter Box commuter was especially weak. The hard plastic shell that clamped to the outside of the silicone had small parts that snagged on my pocket and was definitely the weakest part of the case. The silicone of the Defender got loose and didn't seem to hold it's shape well. Eventually the little hatches wouldn't stay closed. I didn't like the hole on either case that showed off the Apple.
I've had the Griffin Survivor for almost a year now with no problems. Sure it adds a lot of bulk to the phone, but considering that I'm hard enough on my phone to have killed two "indestructible" Otter Box cases, I can live with the extra bulk over a busted phone. Whatever it is the Griffin case is made of seems to hold less lint and junk than the Otter Boxes did, and it also has completely retained its shape and all of the flaps fit just as tight as the day I got it. If you can stand the extra bulk, I don't at all regret getting this case. ETA details about the cases. |
