I'm having a hard time making my mind up.  Which one should I get?

A HBAR under handguards

or

B Gov't Profile under handguards

ETA: just called Armalite and the CS rep said upper A has a med contour bbl.
Upper B is heavy bbl. under the handguards.

Edit:  I just received an IM saying Upper A has a HBAR profile, while upper B is a gov't profile under handguards.

Do you happen to have a 203?

The M4 cut doesn't make sense on a 16" IMO

Is the "M-forgery" light under the hand guards?

ETA, if it is and you want lighter, go with teh m4gry.  If not, I'd get the straight 16.

No I don't.  But I do need an M4gery.  I also like the 16" HBAR.

As with any piece of equipment, if it offers additional options and doesn't hinder the functionality, then take full advantage of it.  In other words, you should choose 'B'

IMO carbine's w/o M4 cuts look odd.

If you want a 16" and no M4 cut, get a midlength.

Yeah, I think the 203 cut 16" bbls look kind of long compared to non cut ones.

B.

Lighter under the handguards.  Even if you never ever mount a 203 to the gun there are some weight savings with the .gov profile under the handguard and even in the M4 notch.

I'd go lighter over the HBAR any day of the week mostly because it is less weight to carry.  If its a range toy do as you please.

I think the cut looks cooler, and it is what I have.

the M4 cut increases your aerodynamicy, the epitome of go-faster gear.

get that one.
