what would you guys say is "harder" vs "softer" is that a taste thing?

"easier to go down".

the more expensive. the easier?

Blanton's, Jefferson's Reserve, Pappy, Basil Hayden, Angel's Envy, Sazerac 18, Templeton.  They are all really tasty I keep all of them in the bar when I can. Its really hard to find any Pappy or Sazerac to replace what I have drank.

When it comes to whisky I like Glenlivet, but for whiskeys, I've had Knob Creek and thought it was pretty good.
5/25/2015 6:40:59 AM EDT
[#13]
Pappy when I can find it, Knob Creek otherwise
5/25/2015 6:42:33 AM EDT

Knob. Creek

Elijah Craig 12 year is better than any bourbon listed above.  Those that doubt me suck cock by choice.
5/25/2015 8:34:08 AM EDT
[#19]
Woodford Reserve.
5/25/2015 8:40:09 AM EDT

From those on the poll listed, Johnnie Walker (Double Black).  Bulleit is a good choice also.
Not on the poll, however, is my standard whisky, The Glenlivet 12.

What's so good about Tin Cup?

For cheap whiskey, Elijah Craig 12 and George Dickel Recipe 8.
For mid range whiskey, Knob Creek 9 and Four Roses Single Barrel.
For high end whiskey, Blantons and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.

I don't like scotch. I don't like my alcohol flavored with burned dirt.

New to burbon but Woodford Reserve is very nice and Makers 46 (not a fan of regular Makers Mark) is right up there too but I personally have to give a nod to Eagle Rare.
Honorable mention to Buffalo Trace
5/25/2015 9:04:17 AM EDT
[#29]

Buffalo Trace is my current favorite with Jack Daniels my lifelong go to

5/25/2015 9:22:41 AM EDT

Woodford Reserve or Knob Creek.
My "goto" is Woodford Reserve - I find it smoother than Knob Creek.

Crown Black and Jameson Irish

No Jameson option? As a young man I drank a lot of Jack Daniels and Jim Beam, now I'm really into Jameson and Maker's Mark.

Bullet Rye is my choice
