She’s an actor, so she deserves to be on a coin?  Granted I have no idea who she is or what her accomplishments are, but is t that kinda thing reserved for important people or are we putting actors on that pedestal?

I mean…

I wouldn’t say no to this.

Better than the A-holes trying to replace Jackson with Harriet Tubman, that was just insulting.

Might do better to make a $25 bill instead. But this is just pandering AFAIK.

It's probably something you have to order specifically, and get with a worthless plaque and certificate of authenticity.

Actually I lied, out of a random assortment of like $8 in quarters I have one Maya Angelou, but at a glance she looked like the virgin Mary or something.

Surely there are Asian-American women that have had greater impact on the history and benefit to America than an actor.  An actor?!?  Fucking dumb.  At the very least, the more obscure people on US currency were still well known somebodies (Chase, Cleveland, McKinley, Hamilton, Martha Washington, Tubman, Sacajawea…)  If that’s the most deserving Asain American woman to be on US currency… that’s a bigger insult to Asain American women than than it is an honor.  Just sayin’.

Cheng Shiung-Wu, Chinese female physicist who helped on the Manhattan Project.

Apparently two Wongs make $0.50

The $0.50 piece is adorned by JFK, about as white as it gets. So, two wongs does now make a white.

JFK was Irish. That's almost white.

She was a beautiful actress that activists say faced and overcame "racism and prejudice and obstacles in her life".  I'm absolutely positive looking like this made life sooo hard for her!

Actually, this and constantly changing stamps are one of the few Feal projects that actually makes money.  Lots of people with no life collect coins and stamps.  They will buy these, put them in a drawer and never spend them.  Cost the .gov .08 cents to make and Dufaus bought it for .25 cents.

Dr. Chien-Shiung Wu earned many nicknames throughout her trailblazing years as a physicist, including “the First Lady of Physics,” the “Chinese Marie Curie,” and “Madame Wu.” Most known for her work on the top-secret Manhattan Project during World War II and her Cobalt-60 experiment that contested the law of conservation of parity (which holds that the mirror images of two physical interactions are the same), Dr. Chien-Shiung Wu’s pioneering work is regarded as a standard among physicists today.

Not this one though
