Jinping and Zelenskyy were both raking in billions from the Biden regime and that looked to continue under Kamala (if not increase).

I think Jinping was always in a position of power and just took advantage of a situation.

I think Zelenskyy was bent over a barrel and became a political prostitute...  My vote is Zelenskyy is FAR more upset right now.  He will end up losing the war, losing a major part of his country, definitely be out of power, and may face worse.

Z-Man ain’t out of the woods but Xi is probably furious. The PRC’s 5 year plan in no way accounted for someone like Trump, they thought their Covid stunt handled him in 2020.

There has been no movement on UKR because Z enjoys the position he is in. He was nothing before the war, he will likely be dead, in exile, or in prison after hostilities cease. He's a grifter.

I think one of the little things that was said by Trump, but nobody has brought up yet, is the fact he said he was going to try and end the Ukraine war while President Elect (if he won).  He wanted to end the war BEFORE he took office.

I think that's ambitious but possible.

Call up Zelenskyy, "Bro, I won, when I take office you will be getting $0 of support moving forward, you are going to lose so let's work together and negotiate something with Putin right now.  If you don't get this ended by the time I take office not only will you get $0, we will be coming in with troops and when WE win the war you will be the 51st state and we will get our money back that way."

Call up Putin, "Bro, I won, when I take office the war has to be over.  You can negotiate something with Zelenskyy right now and whatever you take is yours.  But if I come into office and the war isn't over, we are turning off the money funding Zelenskyy and we are just going to send troops over there and DESTROY every non Ukranian thing in their territory and you'll get nothing.  So for the good of everyone, just negotiate this thing now."

Xi knows that unless very drastic measures are taken in the US, theres going to be a Kamilla elected in the next 20 years, demographics are destiny, as this election showed once again. Chinas been patient so I doubt things being delayed a bit will bother him all that much, he likely wouldht have been in charge for Chinas complete ascendency anyway.

Zelensky on the other hand... well his allowance is about to be cut off, so whatever his latest grift is will have to be among the last. Too bad, so sad.

I wonder if Zel figures it is in his (country's) best interest to concede territory to end hostilities before Trump takes office.  They will likely have to concede territory later anyway.  Take the money and run.

China has been building what they need to accomplish their goals regardless of what the US tries to do. Possible outcomes for us range from partial success to completely useless/irrelevant to getting wrecked/humiliated. Trump can't stop what's coming.

This.  The USA is one of China's largest trade partners, but not the only one.   Big USA tariffs would certainly hurt China's economy, but would wreck the USA economy & lifestyle for years.

I honestly don't think Trump will pull funding for the Ukraine war.  My bet is that he threatens to up the support to the point that Putin has to get negotiable.  At the same time, he'll tell Europe that if they don't agree to send more support that we'll pull ours.  Added European support will put even more pressure on Putin to figure out how to end it.  That's how Trump operates.

And we bitch about the money, but greatly weakening one of our greatest enemies with someone else's blood is money well spent.  Allowing the enemy to win, is absolutely not in our best interest.

Yup. Put the fear into both of them and get their reactions. From there he can make the best deal.

If both are intransigent he will do something they will regret. Putin knows Trump isn’t afraid to kill Russians if he has to.

Trump may pressure Russia in Syria rather than Ukraine too.

7empest is actually kind of cool.  It's easy to admire uncompromising men.

The GOP will continue to support Zelenskyy, even under a Trump administration.  Trump didn't run on ending the Ukraine war.  He might want to, but I don't think it will work out that way.

The only major difference IMO is that the Trump Administration might not spend so much in reconstruction efforts post war without some kind of deal.

The solution is simple. UKR declares itself a neutral country. NATO passes a resolution that UKR will never be considered for membership. RUS withdraws to their border and sanctions will be lifted*. Will it work forever? Probably not, but it will for a while.

*obviously the latter is going to be a rub for Putin, but everyone has to give.

The dying ends for UKR and Pooty can say he stopped the expansion of NATO. It’s not pretty, but it is the simplest solution.

In return for all the aid the US has provided, UKR agrees to take 10 million of our illegals. The country needs to be rebuilt and repopulated.

PRC isn’t worried long term.

Why would you fight your best friend?

China and Russia are allies in defeating the US Petro Dollar.  They see the bigger picture in getting oil off the USD so their currencies are used more.

Trump has a mandate to avoid war, so why would Putin take that threat seriously? Smoking some Wagner in Syria is a far cry from full scale direct US v RU conflict.

Tell me you know nothing about the Ukraine conflict without saying you know nothing about the Ukraine conflict. Russia withdraws to their borders? Who's going to put troops on the ground and make that happen? Why on earth would Russia withdraw from a war they're winning? Slowly, at great cost, but winning all the same. They don't care about the cost, they only care about the win, and they're getting it.

I'm going to go with Xi.

I think a move (of some sort) on Taiwan had a very high chance of happening under a weak leader. With Trump, there is a lot more uncertainty on forms of retaliation. This may make them pause for another 4 years.
