The way they have been handling demographic issues doesn’t support that. They implemented the “One Child Policy” in the 80s to “fix” the excess population problem from the previous programs to increase population. Now they’ve ditched One Child because it has them in serious trouble demographic wise and they are ramping up to force their women to breed. On this issue they are reacting to events, and worse, letting it fester until it’s a big problem before over-reacting.

The medal winners support the russian backed narrative against Ukraine. They keep repeating it, so I'd say they're doing a mighty fine job supporting russian misinfo campaigns.

I don't expect anything major to change.  New boss in charge but both sides of the aisle are making bank from the huge increase in export sales to our allies.  Besides, we need to massively crank our munitions output to stay ahead of China so why not make the Europeans pay for those new production lines?

We were told multiple times that Ukraine has been defeated, Zelenskyy would be removed in a coup, and the current running claim
Is he’ll be out of power by the end of the year.

Neither has yet to happen.

By that token on January 20th, 2025 trump
Gets trillions every year.

I think this is a reality.

Many of the Russians seemed optimistic but there’s a sudden fear setting in. Peskov attacked trump and claimed he couldn’t end it in 24 hours like he said.

Trump reversed Biden’s no lethal aid rule and  put American soldiers directly on Russia’s border and inside Ukraine-peace through strength.

Aid will still flow despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth because trump, a narcissist, doesn’t want his name to be attached to Saigon v3 and folks will cheer it because it’s now attached to their guy.

And democrats will attack Zelenskyy and Ukraine because it’s not a democrat in the office.

Xi said the next US President WILL deal with the final resolution of Taiwan. It would be foolish not to take him at his word. He wants this done by the end of his term, so 2025 would be great for him.

It's a total misrepresentation of what happened. Similar to how Democrats talk about Trump. He was in the US and went to thank the workers at the factor making their artillery shells. Dems make everything a campaign event in an election year, as do Republicans. No different than Trump violating the sanctity of Arlington for a crass photo op. (yes, that was an intentional phrasing to copy colklink's presentation of the facts)

Lol, lmao even.

To answer your question:

Who is more upset right now, Xi Jinping or Volodymyr Zelenskyy?

Comrade Xi.

Remember he told the PLA(N) that the target date for readiness to invade Taiwan was gonna be 2027.

Trump upsets that timeline; there's a lot of internal Chinese politics in play here.

In 1982, to avoid another "Mao" situation from arising, the Chinese put in place a two term (2 x 5 years = 10 years total) limit on the Chairman job.

Xi broke that rule by getting a third term back in 2022. The end of that third term is in 2027.

So....

Meanwhile Volodymyr is grinning like a Cheshire cat because he can now start hitting all sorts of Russian targets that were previously off limits due to Biden/Sullivan anti-escalation ninnies.

I will give Zelenskyy the benefit of the doubt that, dude is a comedian, not a politician. And maybe he didn't realize how petty Trump could be. But, it's going to cost, his miscalculation.

He should have just said, We look forward to working with whatever administration is in Washington to secure the future of Ukraine. Or words to that effect.

The democrats made it out to be a campaign stop. Again, I will give Zelenskyy the benefit of the doubt that he isn't a politician, and didn't intend for his stop at the factory in Pennsylvania to be used that way, but it was.

Zelensky and Ukrainians with long memories are probably thrilled Trump won. When i was there many Ukrainians where well aware of the recorded phone calls between the Biden family and the previous Ukrainian administration. Obama did fuck all about Ukraine and Trump was the first to allow weapons to be sent. What was supposed to happen was Russia was supposed to take Ukraine and their comedian joke of a leader was supposed to bail. Putin didn’t invade when Trump was president because Trump considered burning the Kremlin to the ground on the table if they did. Zelensky needed ammunition not a ride fucked that up big time. I would wager Z and Trump have been in touch.

The flip side is Trump campaigned on being a no war peace President who said Taiwan has to spend twice as much as the USA on defense despite being owed 20 billion in weapons and spending more than 90% of NATO members for several years now

What if China does a blockade? https://www.voanews.com/amp/taiwan-unveils-plans-to-cope-with-potential-chinese-military-blockade-/7835984.html

What if Iran rushes for a nuke between today and January 20th?
