Especially if you didn't recognize the running mate's name either. The fan translation I'm reading doesn't translate words presumed to be familiar to the otaku, like NTR: "Interesting. So this is what it feels like to be cuckolded." "I see, so this is what is called netorare (NTR), huh." I'm wondering about Yuki: She's a horny otaku, loves to read 'wincest' and S&M manga, gets off on hitting on her own brother and watching him squirm. But what would happen if he whipped off her towel, grabbed her hand, and headed for the bedroom? Would she be a for-real brotherfucker, or it it truly just a game she plays? I think it's just a game, but I also think she really hates to lose, so I'm not sure what she'd do if you called her bluff. But what if he said "I'm sorry that went so badly. Come over to my apartment Tuesday and I'll do a proper job of taking off your top and fondling your beautiful oppai" And about Maa-chan: Click To View Spoiler Her beautiful blue eyes are repeatedly mentioned in the text. Do they ever reconcile that to Mariya/Masha's golden brown eyes? Is his memory really that flawed? |

The hair color change is easy enough to accept, as there are cases of hair color changing a bit as people age from little kids to adults, but the eye color change would have to be a memory flaw, unless she is (or was) wearing colored contacts. ETA: Click To View Spoiler On the topic of Yuki, there is some point where one of her otaku episodes involves pointing out that the obligation to provide the Suou family with an heir is easy enough to take care of by having Ayano serve as the biological mother of Masachika's child, so that the family would not be faced with the scandal of the heir being the child of siblings (and Ayano acknowledges that doing so would fall under her obligation to serve her masters). She's likely taking some advantage of her brother's unwillingness to break that taboo, but she does seem dedicated enough to seriously consider it if he changes his mind. |

View Quote I literally just finished reading the full scene where Click To View Spoiler he reunited with Maa-chan and closed the door on that formerly unresolved part of his past. But I'm not buying the part where he knows that Maa-chan and his love for her are gone, as is Saa-kun and Masha's love for that boy, and anything from now on would be the start of something new. I think Masha feels that she always loved and will always love just one guy, and it's been a continuous love for the past six years. And after reading that, I kept reading as he went to his grandparents' home and got the full frontal nudity experience with Ayano. Then Yuki proposed that they could always be together, suggesting that Ayano could make sure his kids weren't inbred sideshow freaks, and Ayano says "yes, please!". This is becoming more and more harem, where it seems he could bang Alisha, Mariya, Yuki or Ayano. And it's looking like he could bang Yuki and Ayano every day if Yuki got her tubes tied. ETA:Click To View Spoiler I mentioned earlier about the time he was fooling around with Alya and then she found a long black hair on his bed. And she was much less pissed about it than I would have expected. Last night I read the part where after that, Yuki found a long silver hair on his bed, and then told their dad about it when he got home. And dad had begun to worry about incest, so he was actually relieved to find out that Alya was leaving her hair in his son's bed and Yuki was encouraging it. |

Originally Posted By JPN: I think that for a while now, my biggest interest is seeing what Yuki will do or say next. View Quote I know you've read further ahead than I have, but... The last big embarrassment was hypnosis. The next big embarrassment has nothing to do with Yuki. The culprits are Click To View Spoiler Grandpa Kuze and mama Kujou, who start the marriage negotiations during parent-teacher conferences, in front of their homeroom teacher. "By the way, is Kuze-kun good at social dancing?" Akemi asked a completely unexpected question and left Masachika stunned for a few moments. He blinked and asked the question again. "Social dance...?" "Yes." Masachika was even more confused when Akemi confirmed it in a very natural way. (Social dancing... Uh, what does that mean? Is there some kind of implication? What's the point of that question? I have absolutely no idea!) Do I need to answer honestly with "I think it's pretty...?". No, I don't know if I can give such a perfunctory answer. Before the worried Masachika could answer, Alisa called out to Akemi in annoyance. "Mom, what the heck is that question? Look, Kuze-kun looks troubled." "Ehh?" "Why do you want to talk about social dancing?" "Eh~? Because his shoulders are slightly hunched?" Akemi placed her hand on his cheek while glancing diagonally upwards, and said something he did not understand. It turned out to be nothing. It was just a natural comment. After all, she was Maria's mother. Masachika felt like an idiot for being cautious, but then Tomohisa quickly approached Alisa and took her hand in a very natural gesture. "Young lady, do you want to be my granddaughter?" "E-Ehh?" "Oii, Jii-chan!" Masachika skipped all politeness and shouted at his grandfather, who said something outrageous as if he was proposing. "How about it? Are you willing to become Masachika's wife--" "Seriously, please shut your mouth!!!" He covered his grandfather's mouth with his hand from behind, forcing Tomohisa to keep quiet, and pulled him away from Alisa with all his strength. "In that case, since my turn has come, I'd like to excuse myself first!" "Ah, yes." "Alright. See you again." After ending the conversation forcefully, Masachika said goodbye to Alisa and Akemi. Masachika finally let go of Tomohisa's hand as they both walked away. "So? What do you think, Masachika? Do you have any intentions of marrying her?" "I told you to be quiet." "So? Does Alya-chan want to be Kuze-kun's wife?" "Mom, please be quiet." At the same time Masachika was looking at his grandfather, he overheard a conversation between a mother and her daughter from a short distance away, and Masachika silently showed his sympathy to Alisa, saying, "We're both having a hard time, huh...". Then, as he regained his composure and turned his gaze to the classroom... He saw his homeroom teacher smiling stiffly, and Masachika looked up resignedly, "Of course the commotion will be heard...". The next Yuki incident is more competitive than sexy. Click To View Spoiler Yuki shows how far she's willing to go to win next year's election. Click To View Spoiler In a totally evil 4-D chess move, she shamelessly plots to destroy the public credibility that Alya gained from winning the student congress debate. She actually drugs Masachika, and while he's asleep Yuki invites Alya to be interviewed on the school PA system. (there's of course some embarrassing little stunts involving Alya and drugged Masachika at his apartment, but that's just to distract them from the election schemes) Alya thinks she can handle the interview on her own in Masachika's absence, but she's far too trusting and kindhearted to survive a broadcast chat with the hyena known as Yuki. Right before the microphone comes on, Yuki says something outrageous that dominates Alya's thoughts, then starts the interview knowing that Alya can't hope to remember her prepared speech. But by going that far overboard, Yuki has fully awakened the lion known as Masachika. The end of year student council speeches will be highly competitive. |

I’ll pass, I’m scared of what comes next.” “Really? By the way, today I’m wearing a thong.” “Seriously!?” “Yeah, look.” Saying that, Nonoa skillfully lifted her skirt with her right hand. From the flipped-up skirt, her white skin peeked out. A slender and beautiful thigh that embodied the phrase “beautiful legs.” A round and lovely buttock that was lifted tightly… Just as Masachika caught a glimpse of it, he abruptly shifted his gaze upward. “Did you see?” “…I didn’t see.” He wasn’t talking about her butt but the thong, which can be inferred by the fact that he didn’t see anything. “Oh, I see. Well, you do prefer breasts over butts, right? Maybe you would have been happier seeing my bra.” “How do you know about that?” With a serious expression, Masachika turned his face back, and Nonoa nonchalantly replied. “Huh? Because you occasionally glance at Alisa’s chest.” “Seriously!?” After responding unconsciously Masachika panicked, thinking, “Oh no, did I just fall for that trap?” But Nonoa maintained a deadpan expression. An expression so deadpan that Masachika involuntarily realized, “Oh, she’s serious.” “…Really? Um, do I actually… look like I do that?” “It’s not like you actively look at her like that… but every time your gaze passes that area, it lingers for a moment there.” “Well, come on… but that’s unavoidable, right? If you see someone wearing a big gemstone necklace, your eyes naturally linger there, right? It’s the same thing…” “Well, I’m not blaming you or anything.” |

Alya and Kuze are both emotionally fucked in the head, in different ways. And they're both fixing themselves, but she was much less fucked than him to begin with. Alya's only problem is she's too introverted, innocent and standoffish. With Kuze's help she's shedding her defensive shell and after learning to be his friend, she's gaining friends rapidly. Yumi and Kuze are really fucked up and it's going to take a while to unfuck themselves. Ambitious Alya is a great frontman for fucked-up Kuze's behind the scenes support, but what if he becomes the man he is capable of being? If he learns to accept himself, hiding in the shadows and merely supporting Alya might not be enough to satisfy him. Alya's career could still equal his, but then you have a family led by two high flyers with no support workers. Masha reminds me of Kuze's dead grandmother, the ideal mom type, especially for a guy who spends all his time upholding the reputation of the Suou family. She's loved Saa-kun forever and will probably continue to do so forever. Yuki... Click To View Spoiler it seems was never an option, the bro-con act is still just an act. Ayano's offer to be the surrogate mother for such a couple was heartfelt, in fact it would be a dream come true for her to serve the two of them forever as maid/sex-toy/womb/nanny. But in later volumes it comes out that Yuki has never been sexually attracted to anyone yet. She stands in front of the mirror begging her tiny 15 year old frame to show signs of womanhood, but she's not emotionally a woman yet either. Anyway, if you own Vol 5, you remember the day they got new school uniforms? To me, Let's go! Fly hiiiiighhhhhh! used to mean: Attached File But now it means: Click To View Spoiler |

I think the hardest thing for good LE working for good agencies to really absorb is that there are whole departments full of exactly the complete fuckheads we rail against here. - vectorsc

Really appreciating these studios that make use of the Rec 2020 color gamut (like Demon Slayer). Looks spectacular on the LG OLED. |

I held off watching I Parry Everything. I thought the concept was dumb. It's turned out to be one of the more enjoyable animes of the season.

History indicates that Conservative Americans only have three speeds: silence, peaceful protest rallies, and Total Industrialized Warfare. They excel at the latter.

View Quote It’s kinda like Ossian newbie. Massively overpowered guy who doesn’t initially fully understand just how OP he is. Entertaining enough, though. *** Looking forward to Arifureta Season 3 in October |

I'm always way behind on anime, but I'm really enjoying The Ossan Newbie Adventurer and Alysa. The Ossan may be in my top 10 now.

Now a real killer, when he picked up the ZF1, would have immediately asked about the little red button on the bottom of the gun.

The other two I usually watch on release day are Dungeon People and Dahlia in Bloom. Dungeon People is pretty funny. Extremely silly too, but the way that it turns expectations upside down and skewers cliches is delicious. I've just started watching Dahlia in Bloom - maybe two or three episodes - and so far it has been unexpectedly interesting, with some very imaginative world building and character development - so I'm enjoying that one as well. |
