I just think of the boss as some huge, horrible monster or fiend, and this one is a hugely powerful but very cute little girl (who can splatter powerful adventurers without breaking a sweat). You're supposed to kill her, but you're tempted to give her head pats instead. I do wonder what happened to Clay's father. She went into the dungeon in part to figure it out, became the DM's best friend, and as far as I can recall never asked the DM if she knew anything about dear old dad. |

My Deer Friend Nokotan was probably the most hyped anime of the Summer season. However, not long after E1 aired, the amount of people I saw talking about it and making references to it dropped off MASSIVELY. After watching the first three episodes, I’m starting to understand why. The theme song is very catching and E1 was okay, but after that…. eh.
Does it get any better or after three episodes is it pretty much more of the same? |

Of the previews posted, nothing really jumps out at me as something I want to watch. On the plus side, that means I can catch up on some of the summer shows that I've been waiting to binge.
My fingers are crossed that the Ranma remake isn't going to be a dumpster fire. |

Then when pretty much everyone else is watching Fall anime one episode a week, I’m binge watching Summer anime. In addition to simply being a more enjoyable experience, binge watching also makes average (or worse) anime seem better than it actually is which is a nice bonus.  |

TsumaSho is likely going to get the cancel culture idiots worked up, but I suspect that Crunchyroll realizes that, since they are referring to it as TsumaSho in their preview, instead of the title translation I have seen used for the manga - 'If My Wife Became an Elementary School Student'. DanDaDan looks like it is going to be a bit nuts. ETA: I started reading the Loner Life Isekai light novels, a while back, and I wanted to like them, but the main character's internal monologuing got to be a pain. Some anime have dialed that back considerably from the source material, so I'm hoping they did that with this one. |

I've been liking this new take on the fantasy genre. The guy that got passed over or failed to achieve. But he never quite gave up on his dreams. Sort of reminds me of old school Lupin the 3rd (another anime that’s really quite old). That said, I’m not a fan of the hand-inked ‘shading’ on the CG cars in MFG. It looks like vibrating dirt. |

Frieren s2 announced, Madhouse returns as the studio. No surprise, Frieren is one of the most popular and acclaimed series currently running. Same director, same OST composer. So that's great.
Macht and the city of El Dorado arc is going to be great, because it has Denken, and Denken is the best. I did almost expect it to get a movie instead and s2 to be the Goddess Statue arc and the current arc with Ubel. Macht is a damned good villain and Solitar was also a great supporting character.  ??????????TV???2????? |
