Overly long ties look just as ridiculous. Not too hard to hover right around the belt area and a guy like DT should know this.

I could see if he was buying off the rack fatty ties the length might be odd, but I would think all his suits and business wear are custom made. Plus his wife and kids are obviously knowledgeable about fashion and well dressed
