I expect it and so do the people I know who look like me. I don't know why they're all up in arms about it in AZ. It ain't like they're sicking dogs on them or fire hosing old ladies on the streets. Papers or GTFO.  I have a hard time believing this will be used against brown people that speak really good English. |

If much of your segment of society robs, has bastard children, and is known to glorify violence... you get pissed. America does not racial profile as a rule. We culture profile which is NOT illegal outside a very liberal court. If you don't want to be pulled over for driving while black... Don't spend 30k on your gold teeth, 10k on your rims, and 1k on your car. If you don't want to be pulled over for driving while Mexican... Don't put 60 other Mexicans in the back of your truck and park at the Home Depot. If you don't want to get pulled over for being White Trash... Don't try to buy all the Sudafed in the store while NOT buy toothpaste for your three burned out teeth. The rest of us can get caught in the middle, but most of this is just racial politics. |

I support In-depth investigations into the finances of all white men who own ties and jackets since they are likely to commit securities fraud.
I also think teens and the elderly should be subjected to random roadside stops since they are disproportionately involved in accidents. Profiling is ignorant. |

The only way I can think of is to make it mandatory for cops to question every person they contact to determine citizenship and that's a waste of time. For what it's worth, I didn't like all the times I was questioned about having a gun like I was some sort of criminal. |

I have a friend, who a week ago, was coming out of a grocery store and was passed by two black guys wearing ski masks, who headed straight for the bank inside.
As a fair minded individual, he considered it might have got cold all of a sudden outside, which would explain the ski masks. Since they were also pulling guns out of their pockets, while walking, the idea that they might be gun collectors crossed his mind. But since he is a middle aged white guy, he racially profiled them and called 911. He may be my friend, but he needs a little political correctness training. |

Every year droves of Missourians cross the bridge to watch and photgraph Bald Eagles. They most often behave like inconsiderate dick holes during their visits. |
| If you don't want to be "profiled", then change the group you are associated with. That means, if you are a Muslim looking person, then help make muslims less suspect to us. Same for Mexicans. People in border states don't worry about mexicans because border state citizens are a bunch of jerks.... Reputations and stereotypes are earned. You usually CAN judge a book by it's cover. |

In the early 90s I was watching some news report on racial profiling and taxi cabs in NYC. Seems cabbies would not pick up young black males who were dressed "urban". They would have a couple decoys with hoodies and baggy pants on try and flag down cabs, the cabs would then be pulled over and questioned if they passed the decoys. I was surprised at the number of black cabbies, all of whom declined to stop for the decoys. One did a pretty long interview and explained to the reporter that he was no fool and was not picking the "punks" no matter who told him to because his life more important to him than what people thought of him. They reporter pointed out both he,the cabbie and the decoy fairs were both black, the cabbie pointed out it was not jews in suits shooting people in the head. Profiling is wrong because it's racist. For example it is wrong to profile Middle Eastern men for closer airport scrutiny based solely on the fact the World Trade Center bombings, U.S.S. Cole, airliner hijackings, 911, embassy bombings, etc..., etc...., etc.... were conducted by Middle Eastern men. It is equally wrong to profile some Latinos as possibly being illegal simply because they can't speak English, have no I.D., can't tell you where they were born, etc... As A matter of fact, this whole Latino profile thing is actually a ruse. The current push in Arizona is really about identifying and deporting those illegally here from Sweden. We know it's really the Swedes who are bringing in the drugs, killing, raping, doing the home invasions, kidnapping, and murdering ranchers, coincidentally, near the Mexican border. And draining the resources of Arizona's social services. So if your blond, blue eyed; your name is Sven, Lars, Annika or Ingrid, or you smell of meatballs, look out, cause Sheriff Joe will hunt you down. Oh, oh. That might be considered profiling. |

"Racial Profiling" is a term coined by the lovely press....."Criminal Profiling" is what law enforcement did/does....and that is based on an officer's/person's observations, training, experience, and knowledge. IE: if my car is broken into and the stereo is stolen while it was parked in South Dallas, Tx. it was most likely a _______ person in ______ age range. If this happened in East LA, Ca. it most likely was a ______ person in ________ age range.
Simple.....not illegal or wrong in any way.
