Is there any way to get rid of the "stretch effect" when viewing images?

Thanks,

Explain more. TV monitor? Computer monitor?

What are you viewing the images in? Is your screen already setup to output a widescreen resolution?

Lookup the default resolution for your monitor, and set it to that (Control panel -> Display). If that doesn't work, let us know what your video card and monitor are.
