It must be nice having a sweetie who appreciates such things.

Insert the "Today OP was a pretty cool guy." meme.

Its a 10 year Rye Store Pick from Kreston in Middleton, DE. Easily one of my favorite rye whiskies. I think its our 3rd bottle.

Excellent.  I’m sort of a connoisseur of this era of whistlepigs, namely the MGP picks.  That color definitely looks like MGP.

Is the proof 118.1 by any chance?

I know you were asking OP, but I'm asking you: what do you know about the Alberta distillate picks?

I don’t care for the Alberta picks.  I have 20 or so WPs and I just don’t care for the Canada rye grassy taste.

The older MGP picks tend to be north of 12 years old and have a very nice toffee and pecan taste to them, in addition to the classic mgp 95/5 profile.

Sorry to poke and prod.  Can you tell me the date stamp on the back of the bottle?  It’s stamped on the glass below the rear label.

Well now I'm excited to find an MGP pick. The one I have is Alberta and I found it to be freaking amazing!

Let's talk more about this. Currently ET BiB is Brown Foreman juice. What's it going to be- flavor profile wise- a year or two down the road? At the moment ET BiB is 'original' but eventually it'll be different product behind the same label.

I think its going to end up as a mashbill 1 product, BIB, in a 750 for $49 in a few years after the stock they bought from BF runs out?
