She needs some help and I'm horrible with Algebra, she keeps asking me to ask for help on here(for the 4th time) so I told her I would but I'm going to put a pic of her naked on here . Domain for all three is "all x" range for the first one is all y the range for the second is all y greater than or equal to 0 the range for the third is all y less than or equal to 1 explanation here: linky |
The domain for all three functions is all numbers (-infinity to +infinity) or the domain is "all x". The range for y=1-X is "all y" or -infinity to +infinity. The range for y=|1-X| is all y >= 0 or (0 to +infinity). The range for y= 1-x^2 is all y <= 1 or (1 to -infinity). I look forward to getting the pics. ETA: Damn I'm slow. |

We were done shooting for the day and screwing around with the camera when this pic was taken(notice trigger pulled back but no action from pistol  ) Shes taking college Algebra through UMUC she is usually pretty good but this was giving her fits. Thanks for the help guys I'll tell her when she gets home.

Right and Wrong, see below. The range for the second one is in fact [0, infinity) -- not (0, infinity) The range for the third one is in fact (-infinity, 1] -- not (-infinity, 1) The ( and the [ mean different things. mcornell was correct when he used the inequalities >= 0 and <= 1, but then he made the mistake of using the ( and ) when he should have used [ and ], as appropriate. Perhaps instead of telling your wife the answer, it would be better if she understood how we arrived at our answers. Does she understand the fundamental definition of "domain" and "range" ? Does she know what the absolute value symbol is ? Regards Mr Psmith |
That's what I was thinking. My GF did that once. I told her to change her grip and that she would hurt herself, but she was in the middle of one of those monthly bitch vortexes and wouldn't listen. After the 3rd shot, she got bit and changed her grip. |
