Awhile ago my windows 11 laptop fucked up and delivered the following message: Recovery Your PC/Device needs to be repaired A required device isn't connected or can't be accessed. Error code: 0xc0000185 You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media (like a disc or USB device), contact your PC administrator or PC/Device manufacturer. Press Enter to try again Press F1 to enter Recovery Environment Press F8 for Startup Settings Press Esc for UEFI Firmware Settings It seems this has something to do with windows 11 deciding that the hard drive is incompatible. Anyway, I found this potential fix: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/3748276/error-code-0xc0000185 My question is, if I follow the above steps, will I be able to access the information that's on my computer but currently inaccessible afterwards? Or is it going to wipe the memory and I'll just have a factory reset computer? |
